:rotfl: Sorry that I missed your post, Jennifer! My reading comprehension seems to vary in direct proportion to the amount of sleep I get. And I haven't been sleeping much at all the last few nights. :rotfl:

Have a terrific trip to WDW!!!! I can't wait to read all about it and see the pictures.

How did I miss it? :rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl: No worries, Beth! Kelly, you missed it the same way we all miss posts on a regular basis! :) I was just giving you both a hard time!

Jen I can't wait to see how the characters interact with your 2. They loved Virginia.

I have FOUR styes in my eye. I should use compresses at least twice a day for about 30 minutes. Or I can have them lanced and drained. :scared:

Ouch! I hope the compresses work as I'm never a fan of the word "lance". Are yours on the rim of the lid or inside? Mom had me look at her eye the other day as it was bothering her and inside the lower lid, right in the middle were 3-4 small bumps. I was wondering if those could be styes, but I've only ever had them on the rim of the lid.

What a day. I ended up having all 3 boys home sick. Colby has a nasty head cold, but refuses to blow his nose unless I help him, Nick has the sore throat and tummy ache that Hunter has had. Hunter has a cold and slight cough, but also developed the runs :scared: He said it was a good thing that he did not go to school as he would not have had time to get to the potty  Chris also has a sore throat.

Dad came down and watched them so Chris was only about 1/2 hour late for work. Dad is taking a nap now since I need to leave in an hour for job #2. Dad has been up since 2 AM as he had to drive for his work at 3 AM.

I really hope that everyone is well tomorrow.

Yikes! I hope everyone is on the mend ASAP!

There are 2 dates for MNSSHP during our October trip. 10/29 which is a Thursday & 10/31 Halloween itself which is a Saturday. I had originally planned on going on Halloween however I am thinking that 10/29 may be less crowded since it's on a Thursday. (& obviously not on Halloween day)

I read somewhere that you can trick or treat at DTD on Halloween so that might be something to do that day & we can watch the fireworks from our room that night if we do not go the party.

Hmmmmm..anyone have input on this?

The only thing that I have heard in the past (and that was several years ago) is that the DTD trick or treating can get really crowded. Might not me too bad since your kids are older anyway, but something to look into at least.

I'm doing pretty well. I've actually managed to get some laundry done and the kitchen most of the way cleaned. I've still got to get the fridge cleaned out before trash day tomorrow, but we're getting there.

It will be a really good day if the timeshare people will call me back so that we can get set up for our Branson vacation this summer. Apparently, it is already very full so we'll probably only have a 1 bedroom condo instead of the usual 2, but maybe that's just a sign of a lot of people travelling closer to home this year.

How was your day with the girls?

Where did the time go? I just got a notice in the mail that on the 10th of March, my Katie will be registering for Jr. High. We have to pick her classes, and electives, we'll get a tour of the school, and she'll get to practice opening a locker. I can't believe I have a child old enough for jr. high school! I feel like time is flying by and I can't stop it! It's bad enough that Katie is almost taller than me, but this is really getting to me!

Tia - I have 3 on the upper lid, and only one is on the lash line. I also have one on the bottom that I didn't know about, so it is either an old one or a brand new one that hasn't reached it's full potential yet. The doctor did say it is pretty common to have more than one at a time. Maybe not 4, but more than one.

ummmmmmm........Abi is taller than me:rotfl: and I so understand your feelings. I keep thinking I only have 5 years where my girls will be home. And only 1 and a half with Cassidy:scared1: :sad1: :scared:

We had a fun today spending some time at the Science Center with Wendy, Michael and Danae. They are in town for some follow up doctor appts and all are going well so far. Michael's been cleared totally by another doctor which is always good. There are still a few that need to see him every 6 months or so, but each trip and least one says they don't need to see him anymore.

Other than that, it's been a pretty quiet week. Friday is looking to be around 70 (thanks for sending it our way Glynis and Theresa) so I think we're heading to the zoo then. I won't have the baby that day so it will be nice to get out with just Terra.

For now though, I think I'm going to take my book and head to bed. Night all.
Nice to hear that Michael is doing well. Did they have a great time at Disney? I was hoping she'd do another trip report.

Thank you all for the PD for Gary! He is still asleep, but hopefully will feel much better when I wake him up.

WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY TODAY! :dance3:
How exciting!!!!!

DDE card price for Passholders has gone from $60 to $75.
Mine just expired on 2/28. I won't be getting another one as I plan to do DDP with Joe in May. So $75 means you don't break even until you spend $375. Not that it is hard to spend that. I'm only spending about $350 for the DDP for our 7 nights.

After a slight scare (during which my girls seemed to disappear off of the airtran reservation ), we're checked in and ready to fly.... all 4 of us!
I had a simular issue when I went to print my boarding passes for January. It would only print mine not Lizzy's even though I could see her reservation. Thankfully there were no lines at the airport so it was an easy fix.

I am kicking myself for buying airfare back in October. But back then gas prices were going higher and higher and I was worried the prices would get worse. I paid $638 total for me and DS, then another $300 to change it. I paid $180 to transfer miles from my account to DH's for his ticket, so we are out $1118 on 3 tickets. Airtran has tickets for the same days, nonstop flights, total for 3 tickets $725. Sigh. :sad2: I have got to get better at the airline ticket game.
It is frustrating. I keep looking because Jet Blue will give you a credit. I paid over $300 RT for us to fly in May but now the flight down is $344 one way and home is around $250 so I don't think it will drop to less than I paid.

Good Morning DDA

Thank you everyone for your kind words here on the Dis and also on Facebook. Last night was very hard. Miles was on my lap all evening. Josie sat right by my elbow and Ella was in Hal's office wanting his attention all evening. We kept up a conversation with our two youngest on Facebook and that helped us all. Howie didn't but I think that was because he was thinking about his dog Jake.

This morning was the hardest thing for me. When I leave the house, I have always said "Bye kitties, Cobain guard the house" I have to start saying something else. Hal remarked that he wondered who would be at the door since Cobain was always the first. Fourteen plus years is a long time. We figure the girls will probably last another three or four years. :goodvibes

I have FOUR styes in my eye. I should use compresses at least twice a day for about 30 minutes. Or I can have them lanced and drained. :scared:
:scared1: I have to say I'm not too surprised to hear about the lancing. My sister used to get them when ever she got pregnant and she had to have them lanced. My sister is the biggest whimp in the world so if she can do it you can too. :wizard: Hope you see quick results with compresses though.

What a day! Hope everyone is feeling better soon!:wizard:

Having done MVMCP on a Friday (last Friday party) and it wasn't even sold out I would say go Thursday. There were so many people that it was wall to wall people (not moving) between Peter Pan & Small World.

At least if DTD is crowded you didn't spend $200+ on tickets to get in and you can just leave.

Bernadette - I already spent $100 on an office visit and eye drops today. I don't want to go back and have them lanced because I want all of my money for WDW. :rotfl2:

I finished adding borders to my photopass pictures so that torture is over.

I got my new memory card from San Disc.

I went to Ritz Camera at lunch and bought a diffuser for the built in flash for my Nikon. It was $20 but I had a $25 gift card. The salesman tried to tell me I'd get better pictures with the $229 flash. I think he thought if I held it in my hands I would buy it. Well he was wrong! I was thinking about buying it (cheaper online) but I am SO glad I held it. That thing is SOOOOOOO heavy. No way I want to carry that around. Either the diffuser will work OR I will crop the shadow out of pictures I'm taking with the telephoto lens and built in flash.

I also went to Lord & Taylor to see if they had Ralph Lauren shorts. I hate to pay that much for shorts but they fit me so much better than anything else. The rise fits well and they aren't too baggy in the front. The one pair I have is wearing mighty thin. Well they only had one style for $65 and I didn't like them at all so now I need to find something that I do like. I may try a pair from J Jill. All I want is shorts that are long enough but not touching my knees, simple-no fancy (bulky) belt loops or funky pockets, I want pockets that are functional, I want "regular" kakhi not some wierd color, I want them to sit at my waist not low rise and I don't want to spend over $40. Is that really too much to ask?

Nice to hear that Michael is doing well. Did they have a great time at Disney? I was hoping she'd do another trip report.

They did have a great time! I asked the kids what the best parts were. Danae told me it was Ariel, which had Michael slapping his forhead and moaning. Guess they did that alot. ;) Michael said it was Big Thunder Mountain RR which Wendy says they also did alot. I don't know if she'll do a trip report or not. I'll have to ask her when she gets home tomorrow.

Good motivation for being deligent with the compressing! I really hope that works!

A friend of mine just pointed out that having them lanced will leave scar tissue on the underside of my eyelid. Um, gross. I'll leave them alone. They went away last time and left cyst-like lumps, but the lumps DID go away on their own. It took months and months, but they did resolve without intervention. And I just talked to the neighbor and she said she had once lanced and she almost passed out trying to leave the Dr.'s office. Nope, I think I'll just do the stupid compresses at least twice a day for at least 30 minutes each time.

Do you know what causes them, or why you are so susceptible to them?

Jennifer - I hope you have a wonderful vacation. Enjoy every minute of those babies' first trip to the World! :goodvibes:
