VENT AHEAD...

Diva just makes me want to slap her.
DH just called and said my mom was just at our house. EXCUSE ME? He said she stopped by to give DS his birthday present. (Or maybe it is his Christmas present. Or maybe it is supposed to count as both. Whatever.) Diva was frothing at the mouth because she wants to be SHOPPING. Mom was in the car for 9 hours yesterday, and as soon as they got to Ms. Selfish's house last night they all loaded up and went to the mall. I know from going "shopping" with Diva at Christmas that she is completely unreasonable. She will go in 100 stores, not buy a thing, and insist that you take her to MORE STORES. The merchandise DOESN'T CHANGE if you got to 6 different malls in one day. She has NO JOB. She has no business in the mall to begin with. But she is shopping for a prom dress. A sophomore needs a prom dress? A JOBLESS sophomore needs a dress for an event 2 months from now? She won't have a date 2 months from now.

DH said my mom looks tired. Gee, wonder why? Diva's favorite trick is to refuse to get out of the car. That way she can rush Mom. She did that to me at Christmas, too. I was finished - ready to go home and stay there. She huffed and puffed and pouted because the mall, Kohl's, Marshall's and Ross weren't enough stores for her. She needed to go to ANOTHER mall. She wouldn't get out of the car. I could have left her sitting there, but then she would have called Mom and INSISTED that Mom come back RIGHT NOW. Since Mom was with DS I took her to another mall. Where she bought a $10 pair of shoes from flippin' Payless which is HEADQUARTERED in Kansas. It is NOT fun to shop with her. Nothing about it is fun.

DH said Mom plans to spend the day with DS on Friday. Ms. Selfish took the day off and she plans to keep Diva. We'll see if that actually happens. DH is off Friday - we were going to take DS and Princess out somewhere. Well, that will largely hack off Princess, but DS will be happy IF Mom actually spends the day with him.

So the surgery went alright. Although the surgeon said it was the worst case of diverticulitis he ever saw. They ended up removing 6-8 inches of his colon. He has a fever right now but the doctor said that is normal.

I gotta run but hope to be back on later. Just wanted to let you know how he was.

I was with Janet, Chanon and someone else (couldn't see the face) we were in some city on vacation. We went swimming and Janet meet some one, and he was with us the rest of the trip. From there I got on a bus and the driver said that she would take us to get lunch, we had to poke her arm and that would determine who got to eat at the fancy resturant. After that she drove off leaving without Janet, Chanon and the other 2 saying she had to get home. Turns out the driver was running a scam and got fired because I was wearing a wire and taking pictures for her boss. I did meet up with everyone back at the bus station.

I told you it was weird.

Heidi, that sounds about like some of my dreams.
I had one the other night that my cousin and I were pulling out of the driveway, and it was icy. DS and Diva were supposed to be getting in the car, and she thought it would be funny to start driving down the road and make them chase after us. Well, DS slipped and fell down, and then I accidentally backed over his foot. I hate when I have dreams about DS getting hurt.

Your sister certainly knows how to get under your skin. Just remember she is only acting the way that your mother has allowed her to act Hopefully you Mom will spend Friday with DS, I know it would mean a lot to both of them.

I'm glad that surgery went well even if it was more serious than first anticipated. Hopefully he will make a quick recovery now.

Elizabeth-I am sorry Diva is the way she is....but it isn't going to change...no matter how much you want her too. I hope your mother comes through for DS as I've seen the same look on my kids faces when a grandparent dissapoints.

lol its not just you and the date, my mom and brother don't know if they will be able to go. Then trying to get Jeff to look at the menus to figure out if we want the dinning plan or not.
