DDA Chapter 18

So your school won't finish up the weekend before Christmas? I'm sorry I made you look. :( If we go, I'll still take my kiddos out on Friday. Something may change between now and then. Makes no sense to heat the school up for a day and a half.

Does anyone have suggestions for a very comfy sandal to wear around the pool while on my feet for 7 hours a day? I hate thong style so probably a slide :confused3 I had Croc Cleos last year and I did like them, but I'm up for suggestions.

Thanks everyone, we're thrilled. Brandon is so excited to be a Big Brother, he took off his Big Brother shirt when he took his bath because he wanted to wear it tomorrow. :) It needs to be washed but he has another one that I'll take with me to pick him up from school so he can wear it to the hospital.

Here's a short video of him talking about being a big brother, I'm so glad I caught it.

That is so cute  Your SIL is a cutie too :rolleyes1

We're home from the Vet. We have a very sick kitty. It turns out that he has hyperthyroidism and his kidneys are only functioning at 50%. He may also have feline leukemia, but we opted not to run the test as they can't treat it anyway. As it turns out the bill was $259 for today and he is 73 years old in cat years. We have a med for the hyperthyroid, actually we have 2 at this point. One is chewable, but much more expensive. The other is a pill, but we will have to force feed him. We are going to try the pill first as $8/mth sounds much better than $30. He also needs to go on prescription cat food for the kidney issues. The cat food is either $1.50 per can or 3.38 per can depending on what he will eat. There is also a couple of kinds of dry food which is $28/bag. They want him to eat as much as possible as he lost a lot of weight. It sounds like it will cost us about $5/day to feed him now. For now we are trying the different foods to see what he will eat. I will need to pick up more on Friday once I know what works. He will also need bloodwork again in 3 weeks. She said he is actually really healthy considering how sick he is :confused3 If he responds as well as she thinks he will he has a great prognosis.

Deb I am sorry that kitty is so sick.:wizard:

I went back and caught up on what I missed today,

Great pictures Bernadette and Tom!

Congrats on the new ticker Robyn

Sorry about DS's troubles Elizabeth, don't count us out for August yet.

Sorry to make everyone worry, I'm the type that if my family are in the hospital I am there. Brandon really wanted to be with his Mom and sister too, so we stayed until we absolutely had to go, stopped and got a bite to eat on the way home. Came in and got Brandon his bath and did homework, (it's been a loonnnggg time since I've done homework) and got him in bed before I logged on.

Heidi and any one eles that is not going in Aug. we will have to talk a lot while the others are gone

Hello all!

Debbie - Congrats on the new little one. She is adorable and her big brother too!

Deb - Hope your kitty is feeling better soon.

Robyn - Congrats on the ticker.

Anne Marie - Sounds like #2 is the way to go now. I would have been willing to negotiate if #1 has come back with at least some kind of counter.

Bernadette and Tom - Loving the pictures to see tonight! Always makes my day.

I know I'm missing a lot more, but can't quite focus. I wanted to be in bed an hour and a half ago, but got busy trying to catch up on a few things. Now it is more than over due. So much for not being tired yet another day. I couldn't pass up on the motivation to get stuff done though. It was been seriously lacking this week. :(

Debbie, Aubry is beautiful :goodvibes Congratulations to all!

Good Morning

Whew, I'm not used to getting little ones up and ready for school anymore, it's been quite a few years.
