Yes, I agree. But I also take issue with people wanting to live high on the hog when they know they don't bring in the money to make the payments. It's not that hard to figure out your debt to income ratio and realize what you CAN'T afford.

And now these same people that aren't making their mortgage payments are looking at foreclosure. So they call up their mortgage company and say I can't make the payments, the mortgage company is revamping their loans to lower the payments and all is well. This happened to a friend of mine. But what do you think will happen if I call my mortgage company and say 'well, even though I've made my payments on time every month, I'd like my interest rate lowered'? They'd choke on laughter. When do I get a piece of that government pie?!?!?!?!

I hear you on that one!!!! A cousin of mine built a really fancy house. They couldn't make the payments so declared bankruptcy. So they get to keep their beautiful new house and not pay the suppliers. It makes me crazy!

Nothing major. I'm surprised that we have school on Monday and Tuesday of Christmas week! We still start AFTER Labor Day, thank goodness.

I am too... I think they are the only district in the area that is doing that. And it completely ruins any plans we could have for going to WDW at Christmas this year.
