DDA Chapter 18

Jackpot! I called the vet on Monday asking if they would be able to get me some teeth or if they knew where I could find some. It just so happens that February is dental awareness month, so she said if they did any extractions that she would hold them for me. Today I got a call that they had a collection for me, so we stopped on the way home and Nicholas ran in to get them. There are 3 HUGE canine teeth and a few little doggy teeth. I wish I had a 4th canine but beggars can't be choosers. Nicholas wanted to get started on the project right away, but I think Sunday will be a good day to start. I'm going to buy 4 jars of baby food, just so he has the small jars for the experiment.

Thanks. I'm scoring all the way around on this one. It's something he's interested in and it's simple enough that he can do it by himself!

Question: the rules for the fair are no disected animal parts can be brought in for the display. I'm thinking teeth would NOT fall into that rule. What do you think? I'm sure I'll end up calling the school just to be sure. But I think it would look cooler to have the actual teeth instead of pictures.

I am slowly uploading some pictures from our trip. I am disappointed in some of them. I tried to be carefull taking pictures, but for some reason, I must have had the wrong setting on my camera, and about half of them are blurred!:sad2:

Looking forward to them, Tom. Sorry they didn't come out as good as you had hoped.

NC laws are different as far as making an offer on a house. In NY you just give it verbally & the sellers accept, counter, or tell you to go jump in the lake!:lmao: In NC there are all these formal forms that had to be filled out, disclosures to sign & attached must be a check equal to 1% of the purchase price. That was all Fedex'd to our realtor in NC & she is presenting the offer tomorrow. We'll see. Thankfully we have a backup house in case the first one doesn't work out. Fingers crossed but I am trying not to think about it too much or get emotionally attached to house #1.

If they do not accept our offer we will make an offer on #2.

How exciting, albeit nerve-wracking! I hope it all goes as planned and is accepted! :wizard:

Thanks for asking Lindsay-his condition is pretty much the same as it was monday-He is still in critical condition. They are having a candlelight vigil tomorrow and a beef and beer on Sunday. I am trying to find out information so I can figure out if I can go.

Jen, I will continue to keep your fireman family in my prayers. It's been a rough few weeks for you all! :grouphug:

Enjoy your dinner! I want to go there so badly. Too bad it's too much for my restaurant-hating husband. :( I'm still trying to figure out what we're going to do on Saturday. Terra wants to go to the Kids Night Out Rachel's youth group is hosting so Phil and I will actually be able to go out. Now I'm trying to think of something that will make him half-way happy too since home isn't a great option. Dad will be the only one home that night so we can't very well just have dinner here without inviting him.

We enjoy it a lot, but it's definitely the kind of place some people would NOT enjoy.... I could see it being somewhat stressful or just plain not enjoyable if you didn't like the whole fondue experience. I hope you guys find a great place to go and have an great evening together!

Is that even a word? :rotfl: I'm glad they seem to be on the mend!

 It is... but perhaps not in a vocabulary of anyone outside of the pediatric field! I didn't even think twice about typing it :rotfl:

That does not look like nearly enough!!! Very adorable.

Great pictures of the girls. I've been keeping up to dat via your blog though, since you having been here posting much. I love it!

 Are you being serious? Sarcastic? You have me worried now! :rotfl: Each stack has two outfits, either the same or similar. Does that make it better? I'm not positive we'll have enough of warm weather vs cooler weather... but I THOUGHT we might. I hope we do, considering I'm not sure those will fit! :faint:

ETA: I'm glad you've been able to keep up somewhat on the blog. I haven't even been as diligent with that as of late, but I've definitely been a bit better!

Ha! Technically as typed, that wasn't a word since I mis-typed. I'm sure that's what you meant, wasn't it Tammi?! ;) Actually though, bronchiOlitic is a word. Better? :rotfl:

Thanks for all the posts on FB for Rees. He is feeling cruddy at the moment and in bed. Hopefully, he'll sleep tonight. We are just taking him to his Valentine's party tomorrow for an hour.

Thanks for all the prayers! Sending you all my love!

Tammi sounds like Nicholas will enjoy doing his science project!

Tom look forward to seeing your pictures. Sorry some did not turn out as well as you hoped

Tia I am not sure what Gary & I will be doing Sat. night either. Garrett has the dance at school, so if we go out to eat we will bring Riley with us. I would feel bad leaving him home alone.

Jennifer I hope you & Kyle enjoy your night out!

Tammi-sounds like an interesting science project that Nicholas will have fun doing!!

Jennifer-I love all the clothes. :goodvibes

Tom-wonderful video. Sorry about the photos, can't wait to hear more about the trip!!

Lindsay-you are a much better recapper then I. I hope you are up to 100% quickly!!

Lasagna is on tap at my house for Valentine's day. Jim and I may have the house to ourselves tomorrow night...if we do I believe I will either be here blathering or watching a movie in my room....he is getting on my last nerve.

No, teeth are fine. You can't cut the vital organs out of something and display them. ;)

Tom - What a cute video! :goodvibes

Thanks for the comments!:goodvibes Leighanna was so excited you can just see her jumping and dancing around!

Isn't February supposed to be a non-peak time?

While the others upload...

Not NEARLY as pretty as Robyn's! Ironically, I made cookies the other day (or was that just yesterday?!) when you all were talking about it, too!

And speaking of Robyn, she inspired me to make these! :teeth:

They are so cute in person, because they are so tiny! They're for Valentine's Day. Nevermind that the girls couldn't care less that it's a holiday......... ;)

And just for good measure, from one of the play areas at the museum -

Love the cupcakes! The girls are just too cute!

Ok, so I actually took pictures of all of their clothes, but deleted them because I thought it was silly! :) You'll have to wait to see them modeled in WDW, assuming any of them fit

Still, here is a sneak peek -

And what I "promised" (from Kmart). Thanks again, Debbie! Now I know where to look in the future, assuming the one I found stays open! :wizard:
