DDA Chapter 18

If anyone is planning on visiting T Rex they do take reservations, you have to call the restaurant directly and you don't have to wait for the 90 day mark.
:cool1:

We had a fun time there, but it is very loud! It was only a ten minute wait on the afternoon we visited. The food is pricey, but it's good. Kevin and I split a meal, Alyssa and Matty split a meal, and we splurged on the Chocolate Extinction dessert that fed us for two days!

Aubrey will be here soon! :goodvibes (Your DD looks great, BTW!)

Becky thanks for the warning, I did not open the link.

Bernadette, I always enjoy looking at your awesome pictures! :)

The fairies do talk a lot, so it can be a long wait, but I think maybe there was a wardrobe malfunction or something if you had to wait 45 minutes right after the rope drop. Perhaps they gave up waiting for the third fairy to fly in?

Bernadette, yup very excited. :cool1:

We could always use a photographer if you want to come along. :teeth:

Kelli - Yay for the Backstage Magic!!!!

Other than the Family Magic Tour, what other tour would be good for kids?

Good morning DDA!

We're thawing out in Cincinnati. It might hit 60 on Tuesday, but of course, it will dip back down again later in the week.

I broke down and went to the doctor on Friday, because my ears, throat, and sinuses were aching, but it's just another rotten sinus infection. It's been a costly week of co-pays and antibiotics!

It was obviously the weekend of Daddy-Daughter dances! I saw Denise's pictures on Facebook, and Robyn, Emma looked adorable in her country western gear! Our dance was last night, but Kevin and Alyssa didn't dress the part (disco fever).

I need to get moving. Noah and I are supposed to meet the rest of the family at church by 11 a.m.

Have a great day! :wave2:

Thanks, she's really excited now.

DH and I went there for lunch in November, our wait wasn't bad, the place was really neat and the food was bad. If it were just the two of us we would probably skip it but we're taking Brandon and I'm sure he'll LOVE it.

I just made our VIP tour reservations for SeaWorld, :faint: , I certainly hope it's worth it. They are having a promotion where you can get an annual pass for the price of one day admission!

I think all of the others have a minimum age of 10. We took DS on the Mickey's Magical Milestones and he LOVED it, but he is all about vintage things and the history of Mickey and Walt and whatever. He can tell you the release year for most of the classic Disney movies, so that tour was SO him. The steam train is the only one he is old enough for that we haven't done.

Debbie - Shhh! You are going to make me want to go to Sea World!

I was trying to call Member Services to see about moving to standard view for the first 6 nights, and changing our waitlist to just Aug. 5 & 6 for concierge. We would save 20 points by doing that, and since we'll be at US/IOA one of those nights it seems stupid to waste the points on savannah view. Apparently this is the day to call for Treehouse Villas and BLT - the lines are completely jammed. Guess I'll be calling back later in the week!

And all the safaris and such at AKL are for lodge guests only, correct?

And all the safaris and such at AKL are for lodge guests only, correct?

Sunrise Safari is concierge at AKL only. I am not sure on all of the other ones. Some you can book if you are at AKL but not in concierge, others you can book if you are concierge at other resorts but there is an upcharge for that. I am pretty sure everything that goes into back stage areas is minimum age 16.

For the 3 of us to go on the Waynama Safari it was going to be almost $500 so we decided NOT to do that one! That is the one that goes around the lodge savannah and then you have dinner at Jiko.

Well, I've got to go and break it to C that we aren't going to be able to do F&W this year. I could go the 23rd of September to the 29th, but I don't know if her vacation can be taken like that. :confused3

If not, then we might be able to go the week of the 20th, that would give us the 25th and 26th of F&W. :thumbsup2

Love all the pictures.:cool1: Jennifer the girls are so adorbale in their Mickey ears. The pictures just made me smile and smile. :)

Tammy :thumbsup2 for Alyssa.

Tom and Bernadette loving your trip reports. :thumbsup2

Robyn love the daddy and daughter pics. :thumbsup2

Well, I'm off to drive to see C and stop at Terry's for a hot minute. Really glad is it about 60 degrees, as I'll have to stay outside.:drive:

The weren't taking reservations when they opened. They may be now :confused3

I probably shouldn't type this out loud, but...I "think" I'm feeling better.

We took the boys snowboarding today. Chris and I both had chaperone tickets too. The boys had 1 1/2 hour lessons so Chris and I got a few runs in. I trailed the boys lesson one run and they are doing well. I really don't think the instructor instructs, but just getting in the practice has made them much better. Chris finally had his big breakthrough today and felt like he finally was doing more snowboarding then falling. He certainly looked more comfortable. After lessons Chris, Nick and Hunter went off to take a couple of runs and I got brave and decided to take Colby up the chairlift. He had been sticking to the bunny slope with the magic carpet. I was very nervous about the exit ramp as good snowboarders have difficulty with it. Thankfully they slowed the lift and I was able to hold him upright and guide him to a stop. It took us a very long time to get down the mountain and he fell probably a 100 times :scared: At one point he even told me how much fun it was :rotfl2: The rest of the boys caught us about 1/2 way down and they even stayed with us and gave Colby extra encouragement. He really did well considering he had never been on such a big hill or had to deal with trees etc on the sides of the trail. It must have been intimidating. I can't imagine falling that much, they would have had to bring me down on the sled. At the bottom we decided to call it a day since Colby was pooped. A friend needed someone to take a run with so Hunter decided he could go once more. Chris ended up taking another run too since he was actually enjoying himself. Now Colby can't wait to go again and he wants to go to the top two times :goodvibes I'm not sure my hips can handle snowplowing that much :faint: but you can't beat his perma grin.:teeth:

Welcome home, Bernadette! Love the pics and TR

Lizzy is just so darn cute.

Leighanna is as adorable as all get out. What a great way to end your first day in the Magical Place. :flower3:

Ditto

Congratulations to Abi! :cheer2:

Well, my arm is definitely NOT any better. In fact, it's a bit worse. I can't even straighten my arm out. As soon as the kids are off to school, I'm heading to the Urgent Care facility to have it x-rayed. I'll report back when I know something.

Ouch pixiedust:

I didn't get my nap in.....somebody was taking a tree out on our street. :scared: Abi will be playing with the basketball band so I guess I will scrounge the money together to go see the game. It's one of the few times my kiddos will play together...and I get to see Cassidy's boyfriend in action. :groom: :lmao:
I bet that was a great seen seeing your 2 girls play together.

Robyn, cute pics! :goodvibes

Amy hope you are feeling better soon!

Deb glad to hear you are on the mend, sounds like you all had a fun morning!
