You could have asked the same question of us, but I assure you we had our reasons.
I was raised (and am still by choice) quite conservative, and knew that I couldn't spend the amount of time I wanted with Kyle if we didn't live together. As cliche as it sounds (and very "When Harry Met Sally" NYE quote... anyone?

), we just didn't want to be apart any more than we had to. When Kyle's schedule started being what it is now, we were just done! We knew we'd never see one another otherwise, and we had already done the distance thing, etc. Add to that the fact that Kyle's schedule in med school pretty much dictated when our wedding would be (unless we wanted to wait an additional several years!), and we got married when we did. I wouldn't change it for anything, and - in the right circumstances, of course!! - wouldn't suggest otherwise for either of my girls, if that's where they ended up.
To each their own, though, I know!
