It is criminal to up this early on a Saturday. Arabella was running and jumped on the bed. She stepped in my eye so I got up to survey the damage. Stupid cat. Actually, stupid me. We will NEVER have another cat with claws again as long as I live.

I bet none of those people have ever taken a direct hit to the eye from a high-speed cat claw! I have a tiny puncture on the top lid and a scratch under my eye. Darn good thing my eye wasn't OPEN.

I am sorry your stomach is still a little off. Hopefully you will feel better as the day progresses!

Before I go into work for about an hour I am going to watch "Battle of the Brains" on one of our Richmond TV stations. I think this is a Virginia thing, but I have seen similar shows in other areas in which we have lived in the past. High schools put together academic teams that are pitted against one another on TV and eventually, after a year of battles, a winning team is named. The competitions are filmed in advance and then aired over the season.

I have quite a few students who are on these teams, but today half the team is made up of my students! (I have it on good authority that James Monroe High School won the battle!!)

Robyn- I am at the same weight as you. I would like to be under 200 by my weigh in on February 2nd. Hopefully I will make it.

So my Uncle to be's brother died of an asthma attack which caused a heart attack. He was only 40. Plus my co-worker's Mom died from cancer.

In other news, I am the proud owner of round trip airfare to Florida for March 2-10. I figured you only live once. It was only a bit over $100. Had I convinced myself I did not need a checked bag, it would have been $30 less. Now to figure out other details. I also found out they have a kiosk at the mall I could have went to instead of dealing with going to the airport to avoid the online booking fee.

Becky, if I can do it, I know you can!!! I weighed in this morning, down another 2lbs. I know for me it's not so much how much I eat but making sure I eat the right things. Thankfully I have been able to stay on track with that.

Yay for booking a trip!!!

I am sorry about your Uncle's brother and Mom's co-worker.

Thanks. It isn't that bad, just feels a little weird.

I have a question. I posted it on the Photo boards, but you guys might know.

I am thinking about posting some pics in a Facebook album. On the PC I have pics from our 2006 WDW trips, but in both Facebook and PhotoBucket the oldest pics I have showing to import are from 5/07. Is there some setting that changes how far back you can go? There must be some way to do it, but I can't figure it out.

I have slept most of the day away. At least I am not running to the bathroom anymore. I did eat a few pretzels & a little bit of soup, so far so good.

Glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better, and that you have some extra time to recoup.

Tammi - I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your "me" night. Your parents' travel schedule sounds incredible! Perhaps they're going to surprise you with an invitation.

Even if they were to surprise me, I don't think it's something that would be feasible. First, I really don't have a desire to see the Panama Canal so I would have a hard time justifying taking that much time off. Second, way too much time for the kids to miss in school. No way would they want to stay that long with their dad, and I wouldn't make them!

I really do feel much better today, I should have went to work. Gary finally ate last night & he looks much better this morning as well. Garrett is the only one who has not been hit by this, hopefully he will be spared!
