:yay: I still need to do mine. :upsidedow

The only thing about seeing Ray Liotta that I would probably enjoy would be looking at his amazing eyes... :rotfl2:

they are yummy looking aren't they??:thumbsup2

(As a side note, the second morning we were in WDW I had sent an e-mail to my friend in IPO telling him how much we appreciated the signed pic of Minnie and Mickey in our room, how I was a little disappointed in not having a daybed or castle view, but that I know he tried and really appreciated everything he did. During our tour of Universal, I received an e-mail on my Blackberry asking me if I’d like to move rooms. This was his first day back in the office after a break, and he asked the room assigner if they could move us to a castle view. I asked everyone what they wanted to do, and they said it was my choice, but Jake said he’d help pack everything, so I e-mailed back that we’d love to change and appreciated the move.)

:cheer2:

Marci-what a wonderful trip report. :goodvibes Do you always have a tour guide for Disney?? What a great way to see the World.:thumbsup2

Becky-I am so glad you are going on a trip.:cool1: I just got an email this morning that includes your dates with a $500 GC after booking.

Elin-I hope you are feeling better fast. pixiedust:

Gosh-it seems like I've missed somebody so I'll send a blanket of pixiedust: and prayers across the DDA.

Kelly Ripa is singing Zip a dee doo dah.....:lmao:

Guess who has it now :guilty: I have been up & down since 2am. I was suppose to work today for my manager as she is needed at another store. I am trying to get that straightened out, I just don't think I can do it today.

Gary is still not feeling well, I was hoping he could take the boys to school & drop Blue off at the vet, but that is not happening either.

So I will go out & hope I don't need a bathroom real quick. I just feel drained at the moment.
Sorry, Janet, but I had a feeling you or the boys would be sharing as well. It sounds like what went through our house at Christmas. Hopefully it will pass in a day or two. Just try to rest. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Ok everyone who wears glasses, how do you do it? I have had glasses since 10th grade, but never wore them full time (yes I know shame on me, but I just couldn't get use to them) until about 6 years ago and I still really can't get used to them. The minute they get a speck on them I have to clean them, don't know how everyone in my family wears such dirty glasses. Plus they are just annoying. :sad2:
That's why I have contacts. ;)

Oh, Lindsay... :grouphug: It is so scary, isn't it? We are all living in such an uncertain time and to know Jonathan was "spared' is good news, indeed. But I do understand your fears. Every time that Bob comes home with further plant closings and layoffs my stomach tightens too. He is very down because his friends and associates are no longer working. So watch for that to happen to Jonathan too. He will need your understanding in a week or so as it all sinks in at his office. I think you should enjoy your time in FL with your family. You need the recharge it will give you right now and Jonathan will be ready for your support when you head back.

In the same vein... I think I had told you all that Bob's company had cut salaries and hours of all its employees, effective last month. He got his first "real" paycheck last Friday and we were shocked. It is half what it was 6 months ago. We have tried to find as many ways we can to cut our budget and I have decided to try to add another class and possibly a couple of additional private students to my already packed schedule. Kristin has even offered to chip in which means more to Bob and me than she will ever understand (I hope).

So, for all of you dear friends who are try to live through this recession/depression... We are all in this together. Remember that and come here to get it all off your chests so we can be strong for those we love. :grouphug:

Wow. It's another round of sickies for the DDA. It was less than a month ago that we had the first go round. :wizard: Hopefully this too passes quickly.

:wizard: to all DDA sickies

I am not feeling better either. I slept restlessly last night and thought I felt better until I actually got up. Turns out I have a fever and just about every part of my body aches, including my teeth. I'm not congested today though :confused3 I called the school and told them I would not be subbing. After we got the kids off to school I climbed back in bed. I can't say that I really slept, but with all the chills and hot flashes I appreciated being in bed. I just didn't want to move, not even to roll over. I had to get up to run out to get Colby, but I'm in for the day now. I found someone to cover my AJ's shift since I don't think I could carry the tray. I MUST be better tomorrow as I promised Hunter that I would take him to Disney on Ice and I won't let him down. I plan to capitalize on the couch and my bed today.

My thoughts and prayers are going to out everyone that is feeling the full effects of our economy. While some people have been directly effected by layoffs all of us have felt them. Everyday we hear of more people in our state and even our neighborhoods and families that are struggling because of job losses. While Chris and I are still employed, both of our jobs have felt the effects of tightened purse strings and we are both bringing home a lesser income. While I sit here and dream of future vacations I know that we cannot book anything until we are sure that we are financially stable again. That may mean only a few camping trips for us, but at least we can keep our house and cars. It is times like these that we fully appreciate what we have and we can reassess what is truly important in terms of material goods. I hope everyone is as blessed as we are :wizard:

So nicely said Elin :grouphug:

Do you have a consignment shop anywhere in your area? Ours have some great deals on sport coats, suits and dress shoes!

Yes we do, I will definitely be checking those out!

I haven't heard any specific brands of granola bars. I know that there are Keebler products that are affected. If yours were tainted you would already know it, I fear. Unless Gary has been eating them too!

(I edited my original post after I saw that Janet was also sick.)

Nope, just me eating them.

Marci-what a wonderful trip report. :goodvibes Do you always have a tour guide for Disney?? What a great way to see the World.:thumbsup2

No -- only for a couple of days Christmas week or if we are on a short trip and trying to do two parks in the same day during a busy season. It's a definite perk, one I'm willing to forgo eating out/entertainment to be able to do. :)

Deb -- I'm sorry you are so sick. You don't sound just a little sick, you sound very ill, like the flu or something. I know you promised Hunter, but you might think of an alternative person to take him tomorrow just in case. I was sick to my stomach last Monday after having to withdraw the offer to take the boys to the movies, but I never would have made it to work the rest of the week if I had tried taking them.

:grouphug: to you.

My head is bothering me, so I'm going to take an early lunch break and work on my pictures.

At night before dinner, he looked pretty hot, in that mobster kind of way. (You know, I guess it's not really fair to peg him with the type of character he usually plays, but he has that dark hair and the "character" just seems to fit him.)

In the morning, well, as they said in Meet the Parents, the "hair fairy" must have visited him. :rotfl2:

To funny :lmao:

tennis shoes are fine....all of the guys here wear their jackets/ties and tennis shoes (One of the guys for homecoming did make sure he had almost brand new ones....he kind of looked like Ducky from Pretty in Pink :goodvibes )

Like I said before, he will look handsome no matter what he wears. :groom:

Thanks Theresa :goodvibes

:yay: I still need to do mine. :upsidedow
And I need to finish mine. I think I stopped after day 3.

Marci - can you clarify something? Did you all have a tour guide? Did you do tours at the different parks? Just curious.
