I have admitted defeat and am making the statement that I am sick. I canceled my morning classes and went to get the drugs you have to sign away your first-born to buy. I hope they kick in so I can go teach my afternoon classes. I have already sent an email to my director that I won't be at rehearsal tonight. I am very sad because we are starting new music for the semester.

Robyn, Becky, Marci and Jen... I know you aren't feeling 100% either. I hope you feel better than I do! (I probably missed more sickies. Sorry about that.)

Good news from an airtran email! (I went that route so I could print it out and have it on paper)

"You may bring a stroller or carseat to the gate for ease of travel.... may be gate checked and will be returned to the jet way..."

"Carseats and strollers may alternatively be checked free of charge"

Well, our management team evaluated all the full time employees, ranking them from first to last, the bottom three will be cut back to part time.

I'm not supposed to know about this, but being the office manager I often "see" things that I'm really not supposed to. I definitely don't agree with the rankings, and of the three cut back I only agree with one, I feel like personal favoratism played a big part in their decisions instead of actual performance.

Oh, Elin! I hope you feel better quickly! Robyn, Becky, Marci and Jen, that goes for you, too.

Whatever is going around finally made it to Utah. Leslie spent the night throwing up. Alan got to deal with that, as I had the baby. So, she's home today, nibbling crackers and watching Barbie movies.

Well, we are off for a fun-filled day (as soon as Charlie and Lola is over anyway). So far the list includes Party City for some birthday plans exploration, lunch out somewhere, Glow Golf, Carousel and the bookstore. Who knows what else might come up in that process. If we get far enough on the party ideas at lunch we might add in a trip to the craft store since the nice big one is out by the mall.

Nick and I stopped by the aquatic center to fill out a membership form to make sure that we have a membership reserved when it finally opens. They have a trailer outside that is the current office. I mentioned that I had applied for a lifeguard/WSI position, but hadn't heard anything. Oddly enough, the lady that I was talking to was the aquatics director. She asked me a few question then told me I was hired Of course she hasn't even seen my application. I just emailed it directly to her so hopefully I'll hear back. I'm not sure if she was serious or not, though she said she was. They are hoping to do a lifeguard course within the next couple of weeks. I guess I might have a job. I told her I was most interested in mornings which is what she was hoping for and she was pleased to see an older person applying. I guess she has lots of 16 year old that are interested. I told her that I have a degree in Small Business Management and she said that I just keep getting better and better. Like I said I'll believe it when I have an official offer, but it certainly has me hopeful. It would be nice to actually have a job fall into my lap for once. And I would get a free membership if I work at least 20 hours each week. I'm not sure if that is an individual membership or family, but it is a start anyway.

Well, the DDA Pixie Dust has worked again! Leslie is feeling much better. She does have a wicked cough, but no more fever and tummy ache. She's on the Wii now, enjoying getting to play without a bossy older brother and sister.

I can't believe you're up and sounding so chipper after yesterday! You must be dog tired! I hope today goes well for you!

I am tired. I think no matter how much I would have slept last night I would still be tired, just because of the weird schedule the last few days. As long as I keep moving I'm okay. It's when I sit down, or when I'm driving that it hits me.

Glad she's feeling better! What is she playing? Stephanie & I have been playing Mario Kart lately, but now the one remote has stopped working all together. It won't even turn on.
