DDA Chapter 17

Well, our outing was delayed as Playhouse Disney has moved The Wiggles to 10:30. Apparently, Terra needs to see that since she's never gotten to see one with Sam. Silly girl. It's her planned day though, so whatever. :)

Elin - I hope you're feeling better! The sign away your first born drugs are the way to go. Definitely helped me at Thanksgiving.

Terry-thanks for the effort on cheering me up. Has your package showed up yet? Because it was a USPS fault (put the wrong zip code in barcode) they mailed it free so I knew it would take a while but I am now getting worried again.

Glynis-I like the Ohana quote but there is one in Brother Bear I love too...guess I will have to watch it again so I can write it down.

Marci-that is stinky about the water pressure. I hope you feel better soon, too. I did laugh because I told Cassidy last night that I was glad she had a boyfriend again as she is taking a shower daily. She is at a point where she needs to take one daily (Abi too) but often doesn't.

I am on boutanneire (sp?) ordering duty today....what color rose should I try and get to match a royal purple dress? I was thinking white or yellow but Casisdy would be thrilled if I could find a purple one. The boy hasn't ordered the corsage yet but will today or tomorrow I am sure.

:scared1:
I think you and the family should move in with me to make sure you all get feed properly. I love to cook and bake so you could have fresh homemade cake whenever you wanted.

I would just tell you to brick it over and go out to eat from now on! :rotfl2:

I have those days more than I care to admit. I have until Sunday to finish an afghan that I"m working on for the baby and I keep falling asleep when I try to work on it in the evenings. :rotfl:

At least you try to do something in the evenings. If I'm not out and about I veg in front of the TV.

I can't believe you're up and sounding so chipper after yesterday! You must be dog tired! I hope today goes well for you!

I agree. Tammi, a job well done. :goodvibes

Deb,
I don't know how you get out there & go snowboarding when it's so cold. I must be a wimp because I can barely handle the run from my house to the car!:rotfl2:

Me too!!

I have admitted defeat and am making the statement that I am sick. I canceled my morning classes and went to get the drugs you have to sign away your first-born to buy. I hope they kick in so I can go teach my afternoon classes. I have already sent an email to my director that I won't be at rehearsal tonight. I am very sad because we are starting new music for the semester. :(

Robyn, Becky, Marci and Jen... I know you aren't feeling 100% either. I hope you feel better than I do! (I probably missed more sickies. Sorry about that.)

I sure hope that your morning or day of rest helps you feel better. pixiedust:

Drive is highly overrated. ;)

I hear ya!!! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Well, our management team evaluated all the full time employees, ranking them from first to last, the bottom three will be cut back to part time.

I'm not supposed to know about this, but being the office manager I often "see" things that I'm really not supposed to. I definitely don't agree with the rankings, and of the three cut back I only agree with one, I feel like personal favoratism played a big part in their decisions instead of actual performance. :sad2:

I imagine it is very hard to be in your position. :grouphug:

If we didn't already have everything planned for my youngest son's birthday party this Saturday, I would have given that to you.

Yes, my youngest is coming home to celebrate turning 30. His birthday was actually yesterday but we are so excited he is coming home for a few days.
Oh GOD I am old now!!! :rotfl:

Happy Birthday to your ds!

Glad he is coming home & you will get to spend some time with him :goodvibes

Mucinex-D is a semi-wonder drug! I am feeling well enough to teach this afternoon. Since I am not running a fever (and never have had one) I feel like it is not irresponsible for me to go on in.

Welcome home, Amy and Kevin and the clan! Hope you all feel better soon. :grouphug:

Debbie - I am sorry management doesn't see eye-to-eye with you on rankings. That makes it hard.

Jennifer - good news from AirTran. I know the relaxation of their rules will help you and Kyle out a lot!

Glynis - I hope Leslie feels better soon and no one else succumbs!

So I just got home and should head to bed as I have to be at a breakfast meeting at 7:30.

I may be going to WDW in early March, as airfare has dropped in price. But am not sure yet. Why am I so indecisive??:confused3 I need to check my work schedule first. I would need to find a place to stay. I would also need a rental car as I would not be flying into MCO. I have a few days left on a ticket, but am not sure how many.

Becky I am sure you know but if you book by the 24th you can get in on the 4/3 deal & get the $200 gift card! I think there is a room only code out as well. Also Alamo has a special right now for $10 a day rentals which has to include a Saturday.

Hope you can get something figured out pixiedust:

Thanks for the good wishes on my health. I think the DDA PD is working well. :goodvibes

I think you meant Tammi! :) My drive home is only about 5 minutes! :cool1:

Yes I am very happy Tammi made it home safely, but I thought you had mentioned your dive might be a little tricky as well.

In any case, I am still glad :rotfl:

Good Morning

As usual I love all the pictures that have been posted, and yes the kids are all growing up so quickly.

My baby is 23 today, seems like just yesterday she was three, where did the last 20 years go?

I'm in the process of baking her some cupcakes, her boyfriend is a fireman so she can take them to the station later, they love goodies.

Happy birthday to your dd!

I need to get my hair dried. I'm picking up Colby and Hunter at 10:15 for Hunter's doctors appointment. Hopefully he can answer all of my questions and concerns. I need to bring out all of the snowboarding stuff and have it laid out on all their beds for when they get home after school. They will need to snack dress and load up very quickly as we have a short window to get to the mountain. It is still cold here, but not nearly as bad as last week. They are still not predicting temps getting above freezing in the foreseeable future, but it is a bit warmer than last week.

pixiedust: for Hunters Dr.appointment!

Hope the boys enjoy snow boarding today.

I got an email from the ebay seller about my ski boots. She has shipped them via UPS (instead of USPS which she had in the listing :confused3 ) and she said it cost here $5 more. I was a bit taken aback as I'm not sure if she thinks I should give her another $5 or what :confused3 Anyone have this happen before. I would think it is her problem as I paid the shipping amount listed :confused3

If the seller quoted you a shipping price that is what you pay. Beings they shipped differently & it cost more, that is their fault. You paid your part & owe nothing else.

TWO WEEKS! :yay: :cool1:

Wow, Tom. How excited Leighanna, Angie and you must be!!!

Good news from an airtran email! (I went that route so I could print it out and have it on paper)

"You may bring a stroller or carseat to the gate for ease of travel.... may be gate checked and will be returned to the jet way..."

"Carseats and strollers may alternatively be checked free of charge"

(We might just check them, although the baggage handling aspect of that makes me nervous. Still, nice to have the option!)

"Traveling with an infant, you will be allowed more than the normal one carry-on item in order to travel with baby related items such as diapers, clothes, blanket, etc. We recommend that you carry on more than ample supplies of baby care items in the event your flight is delayed, even if this places you over the normal requirement for carry-on luggage".

Sounds like you've got all your bases covered!!!

Oh, Elin! I hope you feel better quickly! Robyn, Becky, Marci and Jen, that goes for you, too.

Whatever is going around finally made it to Utah. Leslie spent the night throwing up. Alan got to deal with that, as I had the baby. So, she's home today, nibbling crackers and watching Barbie movies.

Thanks, Glynis. I sure hope Leslie is feeling better today. Barbie movies are a good cure here. :goodvibes

Just popping in to let you all know we are home. The drive took about 17 hours, and we pulled in the driveway about 2 a.m. Tuesday morning. Kevin did go to work, but the kids and I stayed home all day. Everyone is coughing with yucky runny noses...the return to Ohio winter reality! This morning, Alyssa went back to school and the boys and I took a quick trip to Kroger.

I will try my best to get caught up on the 100+ pages now that my laptop is hooked up again. Kevin is determined to write a trip report, but we also need to FINALLY get Matty's big boy room finished! He proved in Disney that it's going to be a challenge keeping him in bed. It's also time to put some effort into potty training Matty and starting Noah on solids.

I miss WDW already, but at least we won't have to wait as long for our next trip, since we have APs. I think we're going back the week before Thanksgiving.

Back to laundry and unpacking. :laundy:

Hope you are all well! :grouphug:

Wow, talk about busy. I cannot wait until we get to see some pics from your trip, even if it takes a year. :rotfl: ;) :flower3:

Hope you feel better soon!

That stinks! :(

Deb, I'd say she's out the money too, especially since she chose a different way of shipping.

Oh, and good morning all! :goofy:

Morning Kelli

Well, we are off for a fun-filled day (as soon as Charlie and Lola is over anyway). So far the list includes Party City for some birthday plans exploration, lunch out somewhere, Glow Golf, Carousel and the bookstore. Who knows what else might come up in that process. If we get far enough on the party ideas at lunch we might add in a trip to the craft store since the nice big one is out by the mall.

Have a great day everyone!

Sounds like a pretty full day. I loved your DL pics.

Molly loves the new Wiggles with Sam.

Lavender?
