DDA Chapter 17

I went down to the concierge desk to ask them about urgent care facilities, since everything over the counter I had been taking for my sinus infection wasn’t working and I was miserable... in my Happy Place even…so I must have felt bad. They gave me fliers for two places who make house calls (there was no way I was getting caught outside that gate again and I honestly didn’t feel like driving anyway.) I started our laundry (of course, the washer wouldn’t work at first) and Randy finished it up. The boys were watching TV, playing Webkinz and other games, so I called the service. I have already fulfilled my deductible due to all the PT I did on my shoulder (that didn’t work), so it wasn’t going to cost much to have the doc come to me. The doc arrived around 4, and stayed until I practically pushed him out the door at 5:40. He talked a lot about sinus problems, infections, the meds he was giving me, Disney, how to file insurance etc. He also gave me my first round of medicine and arranged for the pharmacy to deliver my meds (for $5!).

While he was doing paperwork/calling the pharmacy to check on one of the regular allergy/sinus drugs I take, Randy and the boys got ready and headed over to our dinner at Yachtsman. I also was able to get my make-up touched up and tried to do a little to my hair. I changed clothes as soon as the doc left and took a taxi to dinner.
Wow. I wish we had doctors/pharmacies like that around here. Only at Disney, I suppose.

I promise my husband that I would head back to bed. I just had some toast and took tylenol an hour or so ago. Now I'll try to nap and maybe this headache will subside and I will wake up A okay :wizard:

Hope you fell better Deb!! There are so many things going around.. I am amazed at how many people that are sick.....now if Elin would listen to me and drink some of this old shoe tea I have....she would be forever cured! :):)
Great new picture! And is that a new tag for you too?

I guess the TF finally found out that we existed!

Well it's almost February (which would have been mt 180 days for ADRs) so I am itching to get a plan in place. I will work on my adrs today. I was going to start Wii Fit but I am achy & just don't feel up to it.

We have an offer on our house. Except we do not know what it is yet.
The buyers broker called our broker sayng he wanted to give us the offer in person at our house. Um no...sounds like he wants to pressure us into something. We asked that the offer be communicated to our broker over the phone.
Exactly, that's what the broker is for. Good luck! pixiedust:

We are supposed to get our first measurable snowfall starting tomorrow, 1-3", turning to freezing rain on Weds. I'm not looking forward to it.

I am thinking they came from another board posting. After all, we have never been invited to do Jello Shots with Elizabeth. :snooty:

But if I had to guess, I would bet the came from threads/forums OTHER than ours.

::yes:: The TF found us... once. And never again as a group. I guess we are such a moving target that she can't get a bead on us!

I've been posting on my cruise thread, so I think mine came from there...

Oh... I forgot to say: Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

As I was catching up, I saw lots of new tags! Chanon has one a matching one, too! :yay:

Some moderator(s) (oops, I meant the TF) must have all been on a posting spree together!

(And seriously, I need to get off of the DIS. I'm supposed to be cleaning! ;))

And apparently Kristine is in charge of something not on here because none of us voted her Queen....

Hope she won't mind the reference... :confused3

Get cleaning, missy! :lmao:

It is "flaking" as we speak.

At what age are kids free at WDW? Is it 'under 3' or '3 and under'?

(can you tell what project I worked on this weekend? :rotfl2: )

New Year’s Eve – Part II

I like Yachstman. This is the second time we’ve eaten here, and it ranks right up there with Cali Grill and Narcoossee’s for me.

Randy took this pic while they were waiting to be seated. I call it devils trying to be angels…

The staff had already seated Randy and the boys (they knew what I wanted to eat and were sympathetic that I was sick) so we had a fairly quick dinner and headed out to the Breathless to see Illuminations. We were a little late getting to the Marina, but Randy had already checked-in and told them why we were late. They were very nice and took us right over to the place they dock for the viewing, then took us on a tour/boat ride after the show.

We went back over to the GF and visited more with Vonnie and Joe, and took this picture.

We decided to the room to rest for a while, and Randy set my phone alarm to wake us up at 11:30. Well, he didn’t realize it was on silent, but we had left the TV on and it woke me up about 11:45.

Andrew had fallen asleep on the chaise lounge after playing webkinz for a long time. I woke him up to see the fireworks and he crawled in to bed instead. I then woke Jake up and put some clothes on him. He turned over and went back to bed. I tried a few more times to get them up, but they weren’t budging. Randy went down to the lounge to get two classes of champagne and some hats they were giving out. He and I stood out on the balcony and watched the most amazing fireworks we’ve ever seen. They did Wishes at 11:40, then started fireworks again 10 seconds before midnight, with fireworks that burst in to numbers counting down. They were the best fireworks I’ve ever seen. They were going up behind the castle, and from the beach over by the Grand, then from around the entire line of the lake.

One good change from last year – the Grand didn’t give out noisemakers, thank goodness. They did last year, and kids blew them for hours before the main event.

Of course, we caught heck the next morning for not waking the boys up. What? Next year I guess I’ll dump some water on them…
