I was on the Streets of America that night, and later we watched Illuminations from the balcony at Pop! :goodvibes

welcome home Debbie

Thanks Jennifer

Welcome home Debbie. I'm interested in hearing about your trip.

Good evening, everyone. I never had a chance to get on today. We've been crazy busy, and my parents leave tomorrow. I'm SO NOT looking forward to going back to reality. School, work, homework, activities. I love being on break!

DH said he will NEVER go this week again, and he meant it. I was expecting the crowds so I had no expectations. We saw wait times of more than two hours, the streets at the Studios were so packed you couldn't even watch the Citizens of Hollywood. With our fastpasses for TOT we barely got inside the gates when the line stopped. :scared1: Had I purchased tickets for this trip I would have been VERY upset, now after saying that, we accomplished what we went for, and we discovered that a "quick trip" is totally doable, so we want to try it again when it is supposed to be slow.

Welcome home, Debbie! :goodvibes The reports I have read all say it is still packed at WDW! Can't wait to hear about it!

I agree. School, work, homework. :scared:

Have I mentioned that I hate Science Fair? It bears repeating. I HATE Science Fair!! :headache: The display board is coming along nicely. It's the research paper I am dreading. And some of the directions are kind of confusing. The rules/components are different this year and I don't quite understand some of it. The written directions and the diagrams don't really help. :confused3 Pass the class, pass the class, pass the class...

You heard exactly right, I'm not sure where they were from but most of the people we encountered were Spanish speaking.

Welcome home, Debbie (and Richie)! How is his back? And I need lots of pictures of Osborne Lights since we didn't get there AGAIN this year!

Thanks Elin, I have a few to post but I need to get myself to bed, it's back to work tomorrow, we inventory on the 15th so things will be nuts until the week after that.

Look forward to hearing all about it!

How is dh back?

It's much better thanks, he didn't have any problem with the drive, other that trying to nod off and getting irritated with me when I poked him with my crochet needle to keep him awake. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I loved all of your pictures. Chris and I got a kick out of your snowman. He looked like a snowball around here :rotfl: It funny the difference in perspective when we tend to count snow in feet, not inches ;)

yeah I know. We had to scrape the snow together just to make our little snowman. But it is very rare here to get snow. But the girls and I had fun playing in it.

I also do not want to go back to work tomorrow. Although not like I had any sort of break. As I worked Saturday, New Years family dinner, attended viewing, funeral, etc.

I got like nothing done I wanted to do.

Although I had wanted to go to WDW to do the princess half and/or 5k. I doubt that will happen, so I am thinking of signing up for the Lehigh Valley half marathon in May.

As of tomorrow I am eating healthy, drinking water, milk and juice and doing at least 30 minutes of exercise 5 out of 7 days. I need to get back on the wagon, I have been off far too long.

Welcome back to the healthy side Becky. You will feel so much better knowing that you are getting healthier again :thumbsup2

Robyn - beautiful ornaments, and I love the wine rack.

Jennifer - cute pictures. I like cowboy Santa.

I know tomorrow is going to come anyway, no matter how much I will it not to. :( Have a good night everyone!

I was planning to go to bed soon, but Colby just got up complaining of a tummy ache and sore throat. Chris said he went to bed at 7:30 and he wanted to go earlier than that. I have no idea what's in store for tomorrow :confused3

Thank God I will know who to send my kids to if there ever is a large science project....takes such a load off of my mind!! :)

Are you MOCKING me?

Robyn - Good thing your wine racks are almost empty or I would drive up and empty them for you. Some progress has been made on the science crap, but not enough. :sad2: Your wine racks look sturdier than the ones my ExBosses had. They were metal like that, but you stuck the neck of the bottle through a hole in the rack and the bottles were parallel to the wall. I was shocked that 1) the rack never fell off the wall and 2) that the whole neck of the bottle never snapped off. I think it is just a matter of time. :scared:

I only have one load of laundry left! Amazing how much laundry I can do whilst trying to avoid the science project!

It boggles my mind that you guys had actual snow. We didn't get anything like that at all.

Debbie - I am sorry it was so packed. I hear the weekend of August 8 is exceptionally nice. :rolleyes1 Good luck with inventory prep. Yuck.

oh no poor Colby:wizard:

I should have taken a picture of the yard.

We didn't get anything white. Nothing that fell looked white. It was wet and they thought it might be icy, but we didn't get anything remotely like snow. If we don't have any ice days DS will be off Good Friday. We don't travel for Easter, so maybe I would prefer an ice day! :rotfl2:

nope...no way....I am genuinely referring them to you at the proper time

Isn't Jonathan some sort of physics prodigy? I think your referral would be grossly misplaced with me. Unless your children are studying the habits of the North Texas Helicopter Mom. Then I am your girl. ;)

See. I knew it would happen. Today came anyway. No matter how much I didn't want it to.

It sure did. And that night was way too short. Colby finally fell asleep around midnight, but I just tossed and turned anyway. It's time to get the kids up so we'll see how he is feeling. I know that I have a sore throat and Chris has had one for days, not to mention a nasty cold. I'm sure that Colby isn't going to be 100%, the question is can he make it to school.

Jennifer - I loved your snow pictures! I think you all have had more snow there in OK than we have had here in VA so far this year. I especially liked your Mr. Potato Head snowman. :goodvibes

Debbie - Sounds like you all had worse crowds than we did the week before! We all commented on the fact that there was an even more diverse crowd than we remember in trips past. We heard lots of different languages (mostly Spanish and Portuguese) and certainly a high number of visitors from the British Isles (including Scotland and Ireland) as well as Australia and New Zealand. Having Kristin along to identify those dialects and languages was really helpful too! ;)

Becky - I feel like you do. I had two weeks off and it seems like I didn't get as much done as I had hoped. Back to work for most of us who had extended vacations this week. I hope your diet strategies work for you. I am still developing mine.
