Well, most of the packing is done, and I think I'm about ready to travel to Dad's house. Alan has to work in the morning, but they are going to let him off after the noon news. However, if it's a slow news day, they'll let him go earlier. So, if you've got any spare pixie dust, blow it my way! We're supposed to get another huge storm, and I'd really rather not drive in it. Besides, all my siblings are already at Dad's house, and I feel like we're missing out on the fun!

I'll try to get on again before we leave, but I'm not promising anything. So, if I don't get on again, I wish you all the merriest of Christmases and the happiest of New Year's! I will have my computer at dad's, so I'll try to check in once in a while.

My girlfriends, Dana and Amy, and I have postponed our Christmas Eve tradition. It is only the 2nd time since 1990 that we won't be together on Christmas Eve. Dana's girls were sick over the weekend and with Emma sick and me down for the count we think it's for the best. We do plan to get together on New Year's Eve (which Dana and I have done for a while now but it's still not the same) so pray that I'll be all better by than.

I love hearing about and seeing all the pics of everyone's plans and menus for Christmas. They all sound so wonderfully delicious. I'll have to live vicariously through you all.

The boys helped me make chocolate fudge with pecans, peanut butter fudge, & rice krispy treats, I can feel my waist growing even more :rotfl:

The eggs are boiled & cooling in the fridge. I am done for the night!

I have some antibiotics that I did not finish, so I am taking them in hopes the swelling will not get any worse on my gum. I do have an appointment for next Monday unless there is a cancellation on Friday.

when the naner bread is out of the oven we are done for today also...we will make cookies tomorrow. Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Raisin. :goodvibes

Also where the window is on the back wall will be a door leading to the back yard. Still more work to do, but I can use my kitchen now! Excuse the clutter on the counters.

We just got our Christmas Tree. I can't believe that I am going to have a fake Christmas tree for the first time in my life. It was 60% off regular price and we bought it at Shopko where Becky works so we got her additional 10% off. We got a $320 tree for around $115. It is prelit with colored lights (which is what we like). Becky is putting it up now. We did get some pine tree scented car fresheners to see if that is strong enough. Otherwise, we did find some pine spray that Becky will buy tomorrow.
