Seeing Elin's picture (and edits of things out ) reminded me of Photobucket's new features! Has anyone noticed them under the edit buttons? You can distort and make simple borders now...I think they have been there for a few months...

I did notice the feature that lets you remove blemishes and correct skin flaws

Do you work or live anywhere near the town of Okemos?

Okemos is about 10 miles out of Lansing. Every week that I'm in Lansing I'm that close to Okemos.

We didn't receive Tia's card at all, so I'm assuming:

a) She didn't think I was worthy of a Christmas card

or

b) My jerk of a mailman is hoarding it with all the other things he delivers way past the "please deliver by" dates and my Entertainment Weeklys that used to always arrive on Saturday, but now we're lucky to see them by Tuesday, because I swear he reads them and he's still mad that I didn't shovel the ice off the steps last winter when I was pregnant and Kevin was out of town

or

c) Our card was shredded beyond recognition

Thanks to everyone else for all the Christmas cards as well. It was really nice getting them. I do get 10-20 cards from others as well. But the DDA doubles that easily!

Two pieces of good news for our family so far today:

Kristin has tomorrow and Wednesday off... she will go with me.

Kathrin was offered a job! She is waiting to hear from two other companies but this is the one she was hoping to get. She would like a little more money than they are offering, but is hoping that her references and background check reveal that she is worth more without having to ask for it. She will make a final decision on Friday! FINALLY!

that is great news for Kathrin and I am glad Kristin can come with you!!

He must have My Time magazine too because I should have mine on Friday but now don't get it until Monday...

Hal and I just got finished with the spam dish.

It was very, very good. Very rich tasting.

I added garlic but did not add the green pepper. i used mild cheddar cheese. I put the elbow macaroni in first and poured the rest over and then the cheese.

I highly recommend it.

Deb - Good luck with your projects!

I have decided this 90 day ADR thing is unacceptable. I can see how people who fail to plan properly might think 90 days is fabulous, but for people like ME it kind of sucks. I want to be able to make my ADRs at 180 days so I get a jump on the slackers.
I know precisely where I want to eat at WDW no matter how far out the trip is. None of this mamby pamby "I don't know what I will want for dinner when we get there." I KNOW where I want to eat, so I should be allowed to snap up those ADRs and the slackers can fight over whatever is left when then get around to calling. Now I will have to call at 90 days and hope for a really great CM because the competition will be much stiffer! If I get a new CM (or a stupid one) I may miss out on some of my ressies.

I don't think it was the people who didn't know where they wanted to eat that resulted in the change. That wouldn't hurt Disney's bottom line. I think the problem are the people that make reservations 180 days out and change them at 150 days, and then change them again at 120 days, and then again at 90 days, ... I read about this all the time on the DIS and I can't imagine that it is cost effective for Disney. Can you imagine how much that costs Disney when you consider they have the CM on the phone for 10-15 minutes every time someone wants to make one change?

They are also getting a lot of flak about getting the schedule out 6 months in advance. I think with the economy that is tough for them to do. Then they change it at 120 days and people start complaining because now they have to change their ADR's. I think this allows Disney to get their schedule out at a reasonable time for the irregular visitors (not us crazy obsessive people) and give time for ADR's to be made.

Well, the virus made it's way to NE Ohio. Bob was up at 2am this morning and has slept all day long on the couch. I'm trying to wake him up for dinner, but would rather he sleep off his 100.5 degree fever. He has been keeping the fluids in though, so if he does get up, I have soup ready.

Poor Bob!!
