25 things...
1. I am the oldest of 4 girls. We all thought Rachel was going to be a boy, but Dad said that would ruin his harem.
2. I have a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, 98% of a Master's degree in Mass Communications, and a law degree - I use none of them and never have.
3. I am in the process of trying to plan a family reunion for 100+ people spread from Florida to Arizona to Alaska to Pennsylvania.
4. I took Rachel on her first trip to Disney World when she was 5 (I was 24). After that, I couldn't stay away. (We'd been 3 times when I was growing up.)
5. My oldest friend and I have been friends since the day I was born and she was 2 months old. My mom took her mom to the hospital and the nurse had to ask which one of them was in labor.
6. I love to get mail and am sad that few people write actual letters anymore.
7. I still have a group of 5 girlfriends from junior high that gets together whenever we can work it out.
8. I've lived in Oklahoma (twice), St. Louis (twice), Boston (twice) and California.
9. I yearn to be a full-time RVer and travel the country for an indeterminent amount of time.
10. I really want to visit Alaska, Australia and Germany.
11. I'm the only one of my sisters who met her husband in person.
12. I am almost 11 years younger than Phil.
13. I am the queen of knowing exactly how I want to do a project and then never being able to find the stuff I have invisioned. So, I improvise or create it myself. Within six months, I will find exactly what I was looking for originally.
14. I love family history and would sit all day and listen to family stories if I could.
15. I love movies and used to see 2-3 most Saturdays. Now I'm doing good to see 2-3 a year.
16. When I was 4, I wanted to be a farmer's wife when I grew up.
17. My favorite animal is the Okapi. I just think they are so unique looking.
18. My favorite color is green.
19. Growing up, I wanted to be a teacher and/or a mom. All that extensive education and what am I now....a mom and a teacher.
20. I'm the only one in my family with the Disney bug. I think my dad tries to disown me for it sometimes.
I've managed to infect Rachel though, and absolutely Terra.
21. The DDA almost tripled the amount of good friends that I have. Thank you all!
22. I love my family, but don't know how I turned out the way I did. I am the total black sheep - though thankfully not in the outsider way, just different.
23. I love to cook and I really really love to bake.
24. I was born in the wrong decade. I think that I was really mean to live in the 50s and 60s.
25. I have always listened primarily to 50s and 60s music. In the 90s, that expanded to 70s music, and in the 00s to 80s music. I may just be a little behind.
