Hi! Sorry I was just incredibly busy! I've never been so far behind with Christmas preps. I just ordered Christmas cards tonight-I should be able to pick them up tomorrow. We still don't have a tree up. We only got rain last Thursday but some of my coworkers are still without power and it will be a few more days before they get it back.

Ok, I promised pictures, so here they are:

Beautiful!

LOVED all the trip photos posted!

Debbie-congrats on the front loader washer! I love mine!

Janet-Love your new kitchen! I need one of "I am surrounded by idiots" buttons. Where did you find that?

If you missed it, we're updating the DDA contact list. Please go here and fill out your information, if you'd like :)

From there, I will "invite" you to view it, and you should be able to see the most updated list as people add themselves.

Please let me know if there are any problems!
I was a bit late but did fill it out. Can I get an invitation? Thanks for pulling this together.

We have some good news on the home front. There is a young couple who love our house. They came last weekend. Well their parents are buying them a home (lucky them! ) & want to see it too. If they like it then it looks like we may get our house sold soon. :yay:
I don't remember reading an update to this. Did the parents come see the house yet?:wizard: Belated Birthday Wishes for Katie! Congrats to Daniel! Loved your Santa photos!

Marci-Love your Dad's Christmas card! Glad Andrew is feeling better. Good luck to him with his exams.

Jennifer-Love your calendar. I need to order one for me!

Tammi-sorry to hear about the nits.:scared1:

I know, that surprised me! In the one I watched, he just said "if our special guest doesn't arrive".... I guess more common names are inserted? Cool, though, either way!
Disney sent me the link today and Goofy said Bernadette.

Nor have we...and we've been married over 20 years! I'm glad that I convinced my mom that I didn't need to register for silver.
Me too!

Heidi, we are going to miss you. Our trip dates are Feb. 4-12th.
And I'll just miss you-1/27-2/3.

Jen-hope you're feeling better!

It is getting kind of dicey outside. DH called me at 5 PM to tell me it was raining and he was moving his car to the bottom level of the parking deck. Dry as a bone at work. I called Dadboss to warn him that it was getting icy. His car was covered in ice when he got home, but still dry as a bone at work. It was 32 degrees over there. At my house it is only 27 degrees, and it is wet. I only live about 6 or 8 miles from work! I am really worried about DH. He has to leave at midnight. Today he was home at 6:25 AM. We are supposed to get more rain at 6 AM. It is all very scattered and patchy, so you can be going along fine and all of a sudden hit ice. :scared: I am so NOT looking forward to tomorrow morning. :sad2:
:wizard: Stay safe! I like your tree. Can you come do mine? No cats to worry about here.

My brother just said he may be moving to Tampa Florida. I'm so excited. He'll be in the states and I'll be able to visit with my wonderful nephew. Plus, he should only be a couple of hours away from my favorite place in the world.
 How wonderful!

has any one ordered used books from barnes and noble? If so what do you get new, like new, good?

I always get "like new" in order to be certain that the books are in great shape.

OK, I am tired tonight! Four down and 15 more to go. See you in the morning, everyone!

I had to pay off my January trip over the weekend. YIKES that is going to be here before I know it. I finally called and changed my Saturday dinner for the 4 of us - Terry & Halley will be there with us - to California Grill. I got a 5:30 seating which I think is good with kids and we'll likely get a window seat. Sunset is at 6:04 so that should be perfect! I also finally emailed IPO about my May trip for booking my birthday ADR's. I still need to think about a few more too.

Here is some of what I've been up to. I made an outfit for my niece's Kirsten doll (this is Lizzy's doll-a Just Like You doll we got at a yard sale). The skirt is reversible. And a dress for Halley's Kit doll. I've got to get these in the mail!

Arctic....7 with 15 below wind chill.....blanket of ice all over. I have even attempted to go out yet....I have been starring at the tv which keeps telling me that Tuesday night we are due for "substantial snow fall" and we are trying to leave Wed morning.

Sending you warm thoughts :goodvibes

This is the way I'm feeling this morning so thought I'd share.

Glynis and Deb - Have you received any packages??

Hey, how did you get a picture of me without me knowing?

:rotfl: :rotfl:

What would you all do with a rot. chicken? I got one yesterday thinking I would make chicken & dumplings....and came home without chicken broth. :rolleyes1

I read that as what do you do with rotten chicken. Immediately I thought throw it out, then I read that you bought it yesterday so I thought...bring it back :rotfl:

I forgot to say earlier...my recipe doesn't need a candy thermometer.

I have only used a candy thermometer in my home ec class 20 years ago.

I use candy thermometers when working with maple syrup. They really aren't that scary.

A21. Guess we have to come home. My goodness what a great time we've had

:grouphug: We'll be glad to have you back.

I promise that I've read everything. I worked late tonight and I am exhausted. Colby did get an ornament package today from one of Tammi's kids. He LOVED his donald ornament. He hung it on the lowest branch of our Disney tree in case our cat, Riley, wanted to play with it :rotfl2: I took pictures and I hope to find time to post a bunch of pictures tomorrow. we also got a card from Elizabeth today :cool1:

Our photo book came today. We are very pleased with it. Only a couple of photos are grainy and I knew they would be as I zoomed in on them a lot. I would definitely order from snapfish again. My Mother did not get hers yet, but it has been mailed.

Talk to you tomorrow.

My brother just said he may be moving to Tampa Florida. I'm so excited. He'll be in the states and I'll be able to visit with my wonderful nephew. Plus, he should only be a couple of hours away from my favorite place in the world.

I hope that works out!! :wizard:

DH left for work about 40 minutes ago and I am WIDE awake.
The news at 10 PM said there was a 14 car pile-up right outside our apartment. The police were shutting down sections of the highway due to ice. Not good. I have no idea if they will close the schools or not. If they do then I have wiggle room on what time I get to work. My contract has an "ice" provision. I am more worried about DH, because he has to get to work, get to his account and back to the warehouse, then get back home. If he just had one leg to complete I might not be so jittery, but completing 4 legs (all in the dark) is worrisome. :guilty:

Jen I hope you are feeling better today :wizard:

Vicki thanks for letting me know the package arrived & great news on your brothers possible move!

Kristine I hope you are able to make your drive tomorrow. We already have a winter weather advisory out for today starting at noon. Hopefully it will wait till I get home with the boys from school. Our roads are still icey & having snow on top does not thrill me. Of course I have to be to work at 5am tomorrow, so I will get to drive in it either way :sad2:

Becky nice pictures from Hershey Park, looks like it was a cold night.

Bernadette good to hear from you. Love the doll clothes!

Anne Marie & Jennifer(tink)Thank you for the Christmas cards, love the photos!

Elizabeth I hope dh makes it home safely!

Colby did get an ornament package today from one of Tammi's kids. He LOVED his donald ornament. He hung it on the lowest branch of our Disney tree in case our cat, Riley, wanted to play with it :rotfl2:
I hope the cat is quite entertained with it. BTW, it was from Nicholas. Last year DD was so hard to find, but I saw this one right away in DTD and thought it was just so perfect.

Tell him I'm sorry there wasn't any bubble wrap this year. :rotfl:

Our 68-degree weather is deteriorating today. The winds are going to pick up and usher in the arctic cold you all have been dealing with. There are winter storm watches, warnings and advisories all over the place. Luckily we are not supposed to get the icy stuff here, but Bob might have to deal with it where he works. This weather is weird!

Jen, hope you are feeling a bit better this morning. :wizard: And just think, Christmas break is soon.
