Well, we spent another couple of hours at the hospital last night. I had contractions that wouldn't go away, so when they were 6 minutes apart, we headed for the hospital. They got me all hooked up and watched me for an hour. After an hour, there was no change in my cervix, so they called the doctor on call, and he sent me home. Talk about frustration! I guess Peanut wants to come, but doesn't quite know how to make it happen.
We got to bed last night, and the contractions kept right on coming! I didn't get much sleep until about 5:00. After that, they stopped for a while, and I slept until 8:30. Went to my doctor's appointment, and she was as frustrated as I was! The doctor on call last night is her partner, and she was a bit upset that he hadn't called her and asked her opinion. She said that she would have told him to just go ahead and do the c-section. She did tell me that she is on call Thursday and Friday, and if this happens on one of those days, to come on in, and she'll pull the plug on the pregnancy. So, we may be having a Thanksgiving baby after all. We'll see. I haven't been contracting for a while, so I'm hopeful that I'll get to make it to Friday.
Other than that, I'm just taking things easy! I've made the pecan pie for pie night tomorrow, and tomorrow I'll make a Derby pie, and the dressing for Thanksgiving. That's really all that I HAVE to get done tomorrow. My kids have cleaned this house until it sparkles, and they are letting me get some rest!
My brother and his family are arriving tomorrow to stay with us, so I'll have someone to stay with the kids if Peanut does decide to make his debut! I promise that I'll update everyone as soon as anything happens. I'm taking phone numbers, and Alan will have his laptop at the hospital, so keep your fingers crossed that I make it to Friday (I really don't want hospital Thanksgiving dinner!)
