For all of you on Facebook, my two sons posted pictures of Howie's dog Jake.
I just could not go yesterday to see him for one last time. In fact, Howie did not go either. he wanted the couple that had Jake for the past two years to have the final weekend to themselves.

I have a headache brewing just like you Deb...hope they both go away.

It is really hard to try and tell people why you are leaving a job without really telling them...espescially when they keep mentioning the fact the economy stinks and jobs are hard to come by. I feel so bad for my poor volunteer who is down in Florida right now. I called and left her a message on her phone so that she wasn't blindsided when she got back. She called me back 15 minutes later, turns out she's more technically tuned in then I can be . She blamed herself. I told her in no way was she to blame and that I love her to pieces. 2 more days and then I am free!!

Man, why is Wii and WiiFit so danged fun! I've never wanted a game system before, but this is too fun. I told Kristi she needed to show me how to work that and the treadmill so I could come over and use them regularly. She declared that she was going to start charging if people kept saying that. I told her that it was called childcare.

It has me wondering, Stephanie, how are your family wagers going with the Miis?

Not good. Since we aren't going to Disney, we're going to Hilton Head, it made the wagers moot.

I'm so sorry, Stephanie. Sounds like a rough week for all of you. Don't worry about us. Just let us be there for you. We had our 3 a couple of weeks ago. Nobody really close thankfully.

I am more excited than normal..i mean, i love all trips, but this is somethign that i have wanted to do since i was a littel girl ,and its my dad and i ,so its extra-special to me :

I think I need to take some motrin and go to bed. I feel a headache brewing from 'negotiating' the holiday with the kids' dad. We've finally settled on him getting them Wednesday night through Sat. night. The kids, Bob and I will have our Tday on Wednesday. This will be the first holiday that I'm without them, but I think I will be okay. I say this now, but who knows how I will feel on Thursday. Having a trip coming up makes it all okay. After all, Thanksgiving can be whatever day we make it, right? Just because the rest of the world will be having family time on Thursday doesn't mean we need to.

Feel better Tammi. A really good writer friend of mine had her Thanksgiving every Wednesday and held her Christmas on Christmas eve. Then her ex husband had the kids Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. She was a phenomenal cook. She and her husband had wonderful elaborate dinners on the "eves" and then sent all of the children to their respective "other" parents and had a wonderful holiday, just the two of them.

Somebody put our name in for a food box at Jim's work...I told him to tell them we really didn't need one but they obviously didn't listen. We have enough food now to last 2 months I think...with some odd food choices but stuff we'll eat.

Hi everyone-i went to bed so early and now im wide awake--i dont have to be up for another hour and a half and here i am....
The plan for today is work--then come home and finish packing and getting everything together...While im working wednesday, dad will put everything in the car and we leave as soon as iget home from work...luckily, i got another teacher to dismiss my kids so i can get out of there.

Why can't you tell them that you are just not happy there anymore? Then let them know that they are not to blame but it has become obvious that you cannot work there.

Why can't you tell them that you are just not happy there anymore? Then let them know that they are not to blame but it has become obvious that you cannot work there.

At this point I would be completely honest with them. You aren't happy and you feel like you were not treated appropriately when you addressed you concerns through the proper channels.

It is pooring here with temps in the 30s. Many schools around here are either cancelled or delayed, but not us. I guess that is good since the kids will get to have their parties. I am subbing this morning until 11 AM then I'm running the party from 11 AM - Noon. I am working at 5 PM tonight. It certainly seems like it will be a long day. Maybe I'll hear something about the Post Office job today

me too. Bob is taking Wednesday through Sunday off also. Kristin has to work tomorrow, Friday and Saturday. In her 22 year old mind that is unfair. She seems to forget that she had Veteran's Day off and only works every third Saturday.
