DDA Chapter 15

OK, I'm off to see if I can find a good deal on a turkey and ham. I woke up at 12:30 last night and didn't get back to sleep until almost 3:00am, which is pretty bad because I get up at 4:15am, so I'm sure it will be an early evening to night.

I hate to post and run but I've got to get ready for Scouts.'s and :wizard: all around.

Lucy is doing much better. She is back to normal for the most part. Mo has come down with a horrible cold and is cranky but did manage to nap for me. All of the boys are fighting colds too. Yuck, I am sick of this already.

Chanon did you find the Twilight books you were looking for? Walmart online has some on sale.

Chris has a test tonight and I am hoping to be productive around here.

I went to school this morning and started the Turkey craft. I brought tacky glue as I thought it would work better with the kids. The first 3 kept falling apart as the weight was too much for the glue. Thankfully the teacher had a glue gun so the next 5 came out really well. It will be interesting to see how those first 3 look tomorrow :lmao: I may have those kids remake them. Tomorrow I will work with the rest of the kids to finish up. I told the teacher I would stay for the entire morning. Suffice it to say I have not been home much this week. I had my drug test this morning and passed with flying colors. Now I wait for a call or letter from the PO. I also picked up one pair of Hunter's glasses (they hadn't called me  ) He is having some trouble adjusting to the new prescription. I'll give him the weekend and if he can't adjust we'll call the doctor on Monday. I knew it was a big change so I'm not entirely surprised though I was thinking hours, not days. A couple of things that I ordered online came today too. I think I have my parent's mostly done and Nick too :thumbsup2 I haven't really started on the other 2 boys yet. Chris and I aren't exchanging.

I didn't make it over to Walmart today. I have books 1 and 2. I'll get 3 and 4 for the flights. I'll check tomorrow to see if they have book 3 - I know they carry 4 since it's a hardcover.

I also didn't get my grilled cheese tonight...I had no tomato soup. So we had spagetti.

I just had to complete stranger ask to be my friend on facebook. Both Men. I'm guessing they saw my profile photo :lmao: If only I still looked like that :rotfl2: Anyhoo I hope that it's not in bad form to ignore friend requests from strangers

I got one the other day from a guy I don't know. I asked him how I knew him when he said I didn't I ignored his request.

I did buy cheese today, but I decided waffles with scrambled eggs & sausage sounded better lol We will have soup & sandwiches tomorrow night!

Heidi - thank you so much for the beautiful Sorcerer Mickey ornament! It's perfect! :goodvibes: I would post a picture but my camera died at the play today. I need to get new batteries.

We just returned a little bit ago from picking up my dishwasher :dance3:

So what type of liquid, powder, or tabs do you all use? It came with a sample of Cascade.

Does anyone have a suggestion on a book on parenting a tween?:rolleyes1

I am not kidding, I need help. The way I was brought up does not seem to work during these times & since my mom did not raise me I have no guidance. Thanks.

Not for a boy. I read a couple of good ones but they were really geared towards girls.

ETA: I looked on Amazon to see if I recognized any of the titles. Our school district bought the following book for all the parents of our kids when they went to middle school. How to Hug a Porcupine: Negotiating the Prickly Points of the Tween Years by Julie A. Ross (Paperback - Jul 2, 2008)

I'm so excited. Colby's DS stopped working while we were on vacation. I finally got around to calling nintendo tonight and they are sending him a brand new one for $5 shipping. I will send the old one back when we get the new one. I can't find the receipt and I really don't remember when I bought it, but since the serial number wasn't registered by the store when they sold it they can't contest when I bought it :cool1:

We use the cascade actionpacs. They have cascade on one side and dawn on the other.

I just ordered new batteries for my camera. They are special ones and all 3 that I had will not hold a charge. I ended up buying 5 new batteries and a new charger. I want to make sure that the charger isn't the problem. Thankfully they aren't too expensive. I just got an email from batteries.com with a 15% off everything code if you need it :thumbsup2 FALL08

I use Sunlight gel. It's the cheapest. Cascade is way overpriced.

I agree..my kids know I am not their friend. (I hope to be when they are grown). I was raised with great respect for my Uncle & Grandmother.

I was also the same with my girls. We are starting to be friends now but still aren't quite there. I'm hoping maybe once they graduate from college and are living on their own and supporting themselves that it will finally go full circle.

We use Electrosol Power Ball tabs. My bosses use the Cascade gel-pack things. The dishwasher repair guy said if the inside of your dishwasher is plastic to use liquid, if it is metal use powder. He didn't say anything about the tablets. :rotfl2:
