Also, I finally decided what to get my nephew for Christmas. He doesn't "need" anything but that is not the point. I had to find something that he would enjoy without adding to all the stuff he already has.

I bought this interactive little guy (he purrs and closes his eyes and goes to sleep when you lay him on his back):

And I am going to include an annual family membership to the Boston Zoo with him.

Yes, and he doesn't have his March 2009 dates up yet. It is driving me crazy. Chuck just pulled the March 2008 best days from TGM for the week we are there so we'll do a best guess.

Thank you for all the advice on dealing with the GS stuff. Our leader is not a horrible person but she honestly doesn't want to be bothered with us and it's not something we want to deal with any longer.

We also just found out that the mom that was leading our girls all of last year has not been trained through GS officially. She was just given the materials and told to lead. She did a great job but it ticks me off that she wasn't given the option to do it.

I am going to get in contact with our council. I hope I can get someone who will help- they are notorious for being hard to reach. The group plans to meet next weekend to see where we stand and I hope I can get some advice from the council before then.

Hey, we are getting through this thread by the end of the day if possible. Do you prefer 45pages of drivel or 45 pages of deep, serious talk. I mean we can't really cheat because I'm sorry #13 is #13 whether you decide to number it that way or not. If you skip #13, then #14 is really just #13 (I don't believe in putting lipstick on a pig!). I call it what it is.

ETA: I knew she was kidding and so was I. After rereading this, I sounded a little defensive and don't want anyone thinking it was anything more than teasing on my part.

Becky & Ryan just left. It was great seeing her. She has grown up so much in the last year. I'm so proud of her for going off on her own so far from home. She really has become more independent.

Microsoft Word and her printer are now working again on Becky's laptop. I have to do some research on some of the other error messages she is getting but they aren't stopping her from doing what she needs on it.
