DDA Chapter 13

So I got this in my email. I thought it might bring you a few laughs.

With all the turmoil in the market today and the collapse of Lehman Bros and Acquisition of Merrill Lynch by Bank of America this might be some good advice. For all of you with any money left, be aware of the next expected mergers so that you can get in on the ground floor and make some BIG bucks.

Watch for these consolidations later this year:
1.) Hale Business Systems, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Fuller Brush, and W R. Grace Co. Will merge and become: Hale, Mary, Fuller, Grace.
2.) Polygram Records, Warner Bros., and Zesta Crackers join forces and become: Poly, Warner Cracker.
3.) 3M will merge with Goodyear and become: MMMGood.
4. Zippo Manufacturing, Audi Motors, Dofasco, and Dakota Mining will merge and become: ZipAudiDoDa.
5. FedEx is expected to join its competitor, UPS, and become: FedUP.
6. Fairchild Electronics and Honeywell Computers will become: Fairwell Honeychild.
7. Grey Poupon and Docker Pants are expected to become: PouponPants.
8. Knotts Berry Farm and the National Organization of Women will become: Knott NOW!
And finally...
9. Victoria 's Secret and Smith & Wesson will merge under the new name: **********BangBang

:lmao:

Tom-Leighanna just gets cuter every time you post her pic. I also know it's not genetically possible but she looks more and more like you too!! (I would say DW too...but I don't think I have seen a pic of her)

Thanks for all the Congrats, we're pretty excited.

Deb - I always take an extension cord with me on a cruise, most only have one plug in, I also take the over the door shoe holder to hold all our toiletries, I take the removable 3m hooks and actually hang it on the wall, space is definitely a premium and it's really handy to have everything right there where you can just grab it.

I also take a small fold up cooler in my luggage for bottled water and soft drinks and our room steward keeps it iced down. We carry on a case of water and a 12 pack of soda.

I have a problem with motion sickness so I start taking ginger and bonine the day before we leave, so far so good, and one night on one of our cruises it got so rough that they actually taped b bags in the elevators and halls.

This is the first year we've had a kid in both choir and band so we went to our first choir concert. I gotta say I like choir better than band...they are shorter concerts!!:lmao:

Since I am trying to mend my non picture posting ways:

Abi & the other 50 kids:

Abi was the only kid (that we could see)who was enunciating her words so I got the giggles on the last song. The young lady beside her moved her lips, barely, every 4 words or so. Dixie leaned over and asked if I was laughing at my kid....nope just giggling at the sight.

with that....I am off to bed. There was perfume galore in the gym today and since I am having a hard time breathing anyway I spent a good amount of time trying not to cough. I am tuckered.

I have a power strip packed. We have hanging toiletry bags so I'm not sure I need the over the door shoe holder. I do have one in my camper, but I wasn't planning on taking it. A small cooler may be a good idea. I think we're going to buy the soda refill cards.

Here's her new 'do....

Yes, it's short but not near as bad as I thought it'd be. The funniest thing was she asked me to put it in a bun for ballet. Nope, not gonna happen. Then Eric told her she looked like a boy and she cried and cried.

My niece did this exact thing when she was 3. She was trying to cut a tag out of her shirt and got her hair, too. At first she tried to tape it back on, but when that didn't work, she hid it under her bed. When her dad saw her he lost his temper and yelled and yelled. He told her she wasn't cute anymore, and looked like a boy! He really lost it! It just devastated Marina. My sister called me and I came and got Marina and took her to a beauty shop. She was given a wedge cut, and it looked darling. She took one look at herself and started to cry again. "I don't look like a boy," she told me.

Her dad was so apologetic and sorry. He just snapped. My sister kept telling him, it's just hair, it'll grow.

Another niece has done this at least 5 times before she started kindergarten. Her parents told her that as soon as her hair touched her shoulders, she could get her ears pierced. She left her hair alone, got her ears pierced and promptly cut her hair again!

First things first,

It's A Girl :cloud9:

She gave us several "booty" shots so there is no doubt, now I can start shopping.

Congratulations, Debbie!!! Princesses are wonderful!!!!!

Night all! 16 pints of grape jelly later, and I'm tired!!! I waited until Alan came home, and he helped with heavy lifting. What a doll!! I told him we should use this jelly as our neighbor gifts at Christmas and I thought he'd start crying! He doesn't want to give it up! We still have a ton more juice to do jelly with tomorrow, but we ran out of sterilized jars and sugar. Gotta make another run to the store tomorrow!

Janet, how were the Autumn Pork Chops? That looks like a very interesting recipe. I may be interested in trying it.

The chops were very tender, I don't think the apple juice gave them much of a different taste though. But that could be because my mouth was still numb :rotfl:

Gary kept saying it smelled like I was making apple pie, it does smell good while cooking!

Chuck & I might be planning a quick trip to Disney for the F&WF before it ends. I talked with him yesterday about it. He told me the girls were wondering what I wanted to do for my birthday and I said I hoped we'd be at Disney. Then we talked more and I told him I really wanted to go before F&WF ended. It is $300 each for airline tickets so I don't know if we'll actually go through with it but we'll be checking it out. We are both in serious withdrawals.

Hope you can work it out Vicki :wizard:

Theresa Abi s growing up so much!

Good morning. :)

Debbie - congrats on the new princess in the family. I'm so happy for you. When will her arrival be?

Tom - just beautiful. What a lucky family.

Robyn - Um, I want to giggle, but I'm too afraid to. I could end up in the position someday. But Mo still looks cute! ;)

I know! no outsiders allowed just the kids from the development, and we live pretty far back so most don't come back here. Though for free candy, you think they would.

Heidi- Perhaps you would get Trick or treaters, if there was no guard shack or person with a gun at said shack.;)
