thansk for the good thoughts--everything with joes girlfriend was pretty good news!

That's great to hear!

On your (indirect) recommendation, Kyle and I just watched Jeff Dunham's "Spark of Insanity". It was pretty good, but did you guys know he MADE Melvin?! I'm impressed! We're watching the special features and it's amazing. What a multi-talented man!

Jen-goodluck with you new student

Steffy-both of your trips sound wonderful! Could you buy an extra charger for your iPhone that you could leave in your owner's locker? Mine was under $10 and worth it to never have to worry about it again (til I get a new phone.....).

Chanon, can you please PM me your address and phone number to mail your wedding gift? Again, I'm sorry it's late!

Could be! I don't go to church, but everyone else who has sent me a thing asking for money hasn't gotten any!

I would be calling the insurance.
Our dental insurance is some weird dental HMO, so we usually only pay a $6 sterilization fee for check-ups. Crowns and so forth are where it gets expensive. But it did cover a chunk of DS's braces and as far as I know that was all paid as promised. (Now watch I'll get a bill from the orthodontist. )

Arboretum followed by mini golf or something works for me, contingent on weather! Marci, what do you think? Of course we will have dinner at some point, too. ;)

I'm up for anything after 12:30 or so.

Robyn - I sort of know where Joe lives. It kind of borders Oak Lawn, but it isn't smack in the middle. Mapquest says it is only 6.3 miles from my house, so not far at all! :)

That sounds like it is right around the corner from my office. :)

Okay -- I'm off to a good start. I filled three bags full of old food and clutter. Now if I can do that every day and then most of the weekend, I might make some headway in this clutter-filled house...

We finally got a response back from Emma's principal. The principal apologized for it taking a long time to respond to us and to talk to Emma, she had 2 grandchildren born in the past 4 days. She said the substitute didn't specifically remember singling Emma out and said that she may have told her to put her hands on her desk and pay attention. The sub went on to say that her daughter is similar in nature to Emma and can understand how it may have upset her. The principal spoke to Emma and Emma says she is ok with the outcome. And at some point the sub talked to Emma today in Media and said that Emma can be her special helper on Friday. My girlfriend will be volunteering in the class again so it will be good to know that there will be another set of eyes and ears. We'll see how it all goes.
I'm glad that this has been handled. You and I know that she is now just trying to appease Emma, but in Emma's eyes it's different. I hope.

My girlfriend who is the PTA treasurer for Emma's school and I were talking, she said that the PTA was to get together tonight to count the $$ from the school fundraisers. The president called and canceled on them, they only got 22 envelopes out of 300 students. I think a lot of people just aren't as generous.
Our school fundraiser is going on as we speak. Sally Foster.....wrapping paper and so forth, plus some other thing with candy, cookie dough and pizzas. This year I'm not buying anything. :( I just get tired of them ALWAYS having a hand out wanting something.

YES! He makes all of his puppets. I saw a documentary that he did of the making of them. It's amazing.

Yay for de-cluttering!

Hey Chanon how are you holding up, have the jitters set in yet :yay:

No jitters but the crap hit the fan tonight. I told Bob's parents the wrong amount on the liquor cost. Given that Mom is helping out (alot) with the wedding cost, that didn't go over well. It ended up being something along the lines of I thought we talked about it and I said "you must have forgot". That put her over the edge - wrong words to say...should have been "let's fix it"...but that escalated into "why doesn't your father help out with money" and "i don't feel wanted" and "I'm leaving, you don't need me here" and of course the ever famous "what will they think". I hate the "what will they think" because "they" don't even know about this converation. :headache:

Things are fine now. We are watching Bones together. Well, on opposite sides of the couch. But that's better than yelling at each other trying to find out why she's really mad. (She doesn't feel wanted. I've suggested everything you guys have mentioned and more.) I'm really trying and I know I'm her "baby". I'm trying. Three days.

Chanon, Take a big breath, exhale, then jump up and down a few times!!!! :lmao: it will get better.

I can still remember when I was fighting with my mom while we were stuffing envelopes. We ended up with an extra one and could not figure out why. Sooooo we started ripping open every one only to realize they always give one extra in case a mistake is made :rotfl:

I'm sorry Chanon. This too shall pass and after time it will all seem minor. Just try to smile, and through gritted teeth, say YES MOM. Keep repeating this, until Saturday, just to keep the peace. ;) Good luck.

When is your last day of work?

I need a vacation. Can I stow away with either Stephanie or Deb? Pretty please? I have 2 men in my life giving me grief, plus day to day crap. This weekend is not going to be relaxing at all. Three bday parties! One Sat and Sun. for Alyssa, one Sun. for Nicholas. Plus a football game in there on Saturday. Friday night we will go shopping for gifts. I have to bring drinks for the game on Saturday so I'll also have to pick up bunches of Gatorade. I wanted to get the kids' hair cut and go to the pumpkin patch, but that might not happen.
