DDA Chapter 12

Today's been a bit less stressful. My cousin came and did haircuts for 7 of us. I got my hair chopped off. I really need to play with it to get it to look like the picture that I selected. After she left I went to the store and stocked up on a few things that I need for our trip. I bought some pants that I thought might fit Hunter, but they are huge :confused3 Otherwise I think I have everything that we need in the house. I just need to gather things together. Elizabeth is going to freak when I tell her that I'm not packing much. Each persons shorts/pants will have to be worn a couple of times. I figure that much of our time will be spent in swimwear anyway.

Chanon,

How time flies, it seems like just yesterday we got the news of your engagement, and now here it is time for your "Big Day". I'm sure we won't see much of you this week so I wanted to make sure I sent you my best wishes. Don't let things stress you out, you've worked really hard and your wedding is going to be Beautiful even if things don't go exactly as planned. (They almost never do) We'll be thinking of you,

How sweet :goodvibes

Deb glad today has been better for you!

Elizabeth I only buy bulk candy that is wrapped or are in tubes that dispense into a bag. I can just imagine the germs on those jelly beans :scared:

Karen- I am so glad that Watkins is ok!

Marci- I hope that jacuzzi bath was just what you needed. :goodvibes

Terry- How did you spend your birthday? Hopefully it was fabulous!!

Elizabeth- I hope your mom can get those neighbors out fast. :wizard: Your dinner w/ the uncles sounded wonderful (well all except the chair bumping). Yuck, Yuck on the candy bins. No big plans tomorrow night, probably just some apples, honey and challah.

Deb- Sounds like your making progress on getting all the details ironed out.

I know I read more but my brain is fuzzy. We had a nice time at the birthday party yesterday. Although the hour ride up there was not fun in pouring rain. At one point a car that was on my left threw a sheet of water onto our windshield and I could not see for at least a minute. It was so terrifying as you lose all sense of everything. It was like being in a car wash only driving at 40 mph. As we were about home my other girlfriend called wanting Molly to spend the night with them. She has 2 DD's, one 6 and one Mo's age. The 6yr old had a friend sleepover but the 4yr old doesn't really have any one. The only catch is that they live about an hour or so from us. So Mo and I quickly packed a bag and headed back out. We met them halfway but it was still a 40 minute drive through Annapolis and on a Saturday it's not fun. Then another 40 minutes back by my self, which was nice but I would have enjoyed it more had I not been driving all day. I went upstairs about 9pm with Emma and my niece, she spent the night, to put them to bed. I had every intention of reading Kingdom Keepers 2 but fell asleep within minutes.

We were up early for church. Home after wards for a bit before we headed out to get Mo. We had to stop by my parents and then we hit Old Navy and the grocery store. After we got home the girls watched a movie and I started dinner. I had to run next door to help Gail with something after dinner.

Robyn sounds like you had a very tiring day yesterday!

I just firmed up plans with my parents for this coming weekend. My cousins in MA are holding a memorial service for their dad on Saturday. My parents and I are driving up Friday morning and retuning Sunday morning. Eric is staying here with the girls.

I have told the girls I will not be here but have not told them where we are going or why. I have yet to tell Emma that my uncle died. She has met him all of 3 times, the last time being in 2005. I don't know how to tell her with out it causing a lot of upheaval in her world, even though in reality it really has no impact. She was still upset about my great aunt in May when my aunt died in February. I don't think it impacted her that significantly she just used that as a reason to be upset because she thought it was something she could be upset over.

Oh and Friday is Eric's and my 10th anniversary. Nothing says love/romance like spending the night in a hotel with your parents 350 miles from your DH!!!

Deb-i definitely overpack for all the cruises so packing less is DEFINITELY a good idea

Who starts these vicious rumors? :confused3
You must pack the maximum allowed luggage! You never know which outfit you will want when you get there! :rolleyes1

Robyn - Sister used to LOVE apples with honey. That's her favorite part of the holiday! :goodvibes I told DH to remind me NOT to go to the big Kosher grocery tomorrow.:scared:

I have lots of things to remember tomorrow. I hope I don't forget any of them! DS to school, Princess to school, goodies for the teachers to school, back to the house to let the housekeeper in, pick up Princess, pick up DS (DH has a convenience store route this week so he is starting late and finishing late).

Oooh. Housewives is on!

Robyn - DS is that way, too. If someone dies he likes to make it into a huge personal tragedy, even if he didn't know them very well. Sorry about your anniversary.
