Is Nicholas in 2nd grade? The year DS was in 2nd grade he was invited over to trick-or-treat with some friends from school. DS was a wizard, but ALL of the other boys were some sort of gruesome thing. My bad.
Since then DS has griped that nothing is scary enough. The past 2 years he hasn't even had a costume.

3rd grade. This is the first year he has ever shown an interest in being 'scary'. He never wanted to have anything to do with that.

Both of them got invited to a halloween bday party on Oct. 5 that they are supposed to wear costumes to. Who has their halloween costume by Oct. 5???? I guess we'll have to dig out old ones.

I know I did the dolphin encounter in Nassau--we also wenta nd walked through/gambled at atlantis...i remember it was not my favorite port

Deb -- I am thrilled for you, Chris and your family. You will have so much fun. It's been many years since we did NCL, but I did like it. I took my company on retreat on a cruise years ago and we stopped in Nassau. About half of the group did the Dolphin excursion and loved it. The other half did beach excursions.

I've noticed that a lot of people get off the ship, walk around, then get back on and enjoy the activities on a quiet ship. Since our boys love digging on the beach, we always do Atlantis. We've been to Nassau probably six times, and we've always gone there. That's why this past summer we vacationed there. We did their Dolphin Encounter, and it was fabulous. We've done the beach excursions there, the Dig (one of the largest, if not the largest, in the world) and have gotten a room for the day on one of the cruises so we could do the slides/pools etc. That was very amazing and cheaper to do than the cruise ships Atlantis excursion. Food there is extremely pricey, though. I think some people ordered sandwhiches through room service on the ship, then took a picnic to the beach. If you like shopping in Mexico, you'll like the straw market. I don't, so I avoid the place.

Dig out all your birth certificates (if you don't have passports) now. No matter how far ahead I asked company people to find them (when we did Mexico, Grand Cayman and our cruise) they were still scrambling last minute.

I really need to get to sleep now. Nicholas has a 10AM game, which means I have to leave at 9. Then I want to spend the day shopping. Who wants to take a bet that I come home empty handed? Have I told you that I hate to shop?

Obviously we decided on a theme, and we tried to convince Matty to be Rajah, because he loves tigers, but he wasn't going for it. Thus we are:

Alyssa = Jasmine
Matty = Aladdin
Noah = Abu
Kevin = Genie
me = Rajah

Tia picked up a Jasmine wig for Alyssa, but Matty is going to be a blond Aladdin. Maybe his Fez will cover his whole head.

Deb I told Gary about the great deal you got hoping he wouldn't mind going on a cruise. Nope he wants to save the money for the fireplace he wants to build in the diningroom

Amy- Use fleece and you could tie where the seams would be. Or buy tank tops and cut up the middle.

Jen- Good luck with the kid. What type of issues do they have?

Deb- Congrats on the cruise. If it was over the weekend instead of the whole week, I would join you. I do not think I should take another week off of work right now. But I would love to.

This was a crazy week, next week will be pretty busy as well. I hope to work some on my trip report.
