I took her to Kohl's. They have the adjustable waists and their prices are right. :thumbsup2 Even with the waist adjusted in, she has so much bagginess in the butt and hips. I'm going to look at Old Navy and a few other stores too. Maybe they will have jeans with different cuts.

Tammi -- I have the same problem with Andrew, and I've found Gap and Old Navy to have different cuts of jeans, so we can get the slim ones and they don't bag.

Chanon - you look beautiful! Love the hair. Congrats on finishing the seating chart.

Deb -- I hope Hunter is feeling better and no one else gets sick. It sounds like great changes at the restaurant. I hope business picks up with good tippers!

G'night, everyone. I'm going to go put my feet up. I've been having Braxton/Hicks all evening, and it's got me a bit freaked out!

I hope you got some rest! Take care.

Jennifer -- have a good time in Chicago!

Happy Belated Birthday to Gary and to Katrina! :yay:

I'm having more "home" problems. No my trash compactor is broken and I still can't find someone to help with the carpet pad, wooden thingy's to attach it too, and someone to clean it. I better find help soon -- we have friends coming up for the Texas-OU game in a couple of weeks.

We also have an appt. for x-rays/casts to start x-rays for Andrew. When it rains, it pours. Have a terrific day everyone!

Oh, I really love SCC. I saw him last year, and he was wonderful! I'm glad he's doing it this year. He just recently lost a daughter (tragic accident, older son hit her with a car :(), and I wasn't sure if plans had changed.

Thank you (and Tammi! ETA: And all of you! :rotfl:) for the well-wishes. Not much longer now, before we leave! :yay:
Jennifer we are big SCC fans here too. We were saddened to hear of the loss of his daughter too. His song "Cinderella" makes me cry everytime I hear it!

We "almost" overslept this morning.
I don't think that we have ever moved so fast. Leighanna made it to school on time with a few seconds to spare! Whew! I guess I should have made sure the alarm was set.

Leighanna did get full credit for her work. She now has an A in Written Composition. So all A's and S's for now!

No more scratching or itching either! Only me when I think about it!

Have a great day DDA!

I adore him! Of course, I generally think he's hysterical, and that's not really the 'thing' for the CP.... ;) I'm sure he'll be good, though!
My dates had been TBD, so I was hoping that it would be Gary Sinese since he is nowhere on the schedule this year. Neil Patrick is good too though. :thumbsup2

leaving for the port....check in with you soon :banana::banana:

Have a magical cruise!

Jennifer we are big SCC fans here too. We were saddened to hear of the loss of his daughter too. His song "Cinderella" makes me cry everytime I hear it!

I had never heard of him, so I did a little Googling. I'm in tears now. What a tragic story! And I listened to Cinderella...

I'm so glad that she got credit! I hope that you never have to deal with scratching or itching again!

Or have an on-line album where we can see them ALL! :goodvibes ;)

Yes!

I know I can count on you guys so can you all spare some good thoughts and pixie dust for my sister. She went to the dr.s yesterday and her amniotic fluid is high and her white blood count is low. They are concerned because it can be a sign of infection mainly the CMV virus or a sign of diabetes, she passed her glucose screening so I imagine it's not that. She is going for blood work today but I imagine it may be a few days before she finds out anything. When she was pregnant with her first DD, who was stillborn) she had the CMV virus but it went undetected until they did the autopsy on my niece. I appreciate it.

Yay, Lucy! :yay: Princess had a stack of books on her head yesterday and told me it was a hat. I told her "My compliments from me to you on this your most intriguing hat, consider though, this substitute, a bat in place of this old rat!" She had no idea what I was talking about but she laughed and laughed. :rotfl2:

:rotfl: I'll have to remember that, Mo loves hats.

People are stupid. ;)
At one of my previous jobs I had 2 charges. We had a triple stroller because DS and my charges were pretty close in age - DS was 3.5, one charge was 3 and the other charge was 1. People asked me ALL THE TIME if they were triplets. Um, no. Only 2 of them are related, and NONE of them are the same age! Of course DS is small and those charges were big old Hulk children, and the stroller made it a little difficult to see exactly what size each one was, but still. DS didn't look like the other boys, either.

When I am brave enough to venture out with all the kids people just assume that they are all mine:scared1: We went to the free movies last summer when I was pregnant with Lucy, due any day actually, and I had Emma, Molly, Syd and Kate (Dana's girls) and Allyson and their was a woman from the Headstart program there. She was very insistent I take all the information on the program. I guess she'd thought I qualify!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Robyn-Lucy is so cotton-picking cute:goodvibes

Good morning DDA!! Abi is home sick again today...one of my volunteer/friends has a theory and I think it may be holding true. She believes Abi may be getting awful tummy aches because she's starting to cycle. :upsidedow My baby is growing up and I don't wanna!!

My grandfather used to say that all the time!:goodvibes

I hope Abi feels better this morning.

Robyn, prayers and pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: for your sister!

I have the mammogram and echocardiogram today, so I'm looking for a little DDA pixiedust that it's all a waste of time and money again.

Sit down, rest and drink lots of fluids. I had braxton/hicks from 20 weeks on with Hunter and Colby. Hopefully that is all that it is.

That's what I did, and it seemed to work. So far, none this morning!

This whole sleep thing is really throwing me off! (Not that I'm complaining!) I've gotten to sleep until about 4am the last few days () but then it's too close to my internal alarm's "wake time", and I can't go back to sleep. I like getting up at 5 or 5:30. 3:30 or 4? Eh, ot so much!

I have no car this morning (mom is borrowing Kyle's while waiting for a new one later this week, Kyle will take mine to work) so I'll be home, on the computer a lot to get caught up on some things before we leave. We head to Chicago around lunchtime, as soon as Kyle can sign out to the MD covering him. I'm so excited! It's a super short trip, but SO long overdue! :faint:

I'll check in at least once before then. Right now, I'm off to feed stirring girls.

Make it a great day, DDA! :goodvibes

Have a wonderful, if short, trip! Sometimes that's all we need to rejuvenate our spirits!

Jennifer - I hope you have a great trip!

Glynis - are you feeling any better today?

I really am, thank you! I slept really well, and before that the B/H had stopped. I know that they are common in the third trimester, but both Alan and I have had really specific dreams about this baby and in both our dreams, he seemed really tiny. I don't want to read anything into that, but Alan was almost 4 months premature, and my brother was 3 and a half months premature, so it lingers in the back of my mind.

I'm not leaving the house today! I'm going to soak in a warm tub, keep my feet up with water to drink all day! I've got to be in peak condition for my meeting with Theresa this weekend!!!

Oh how scary, given the previous circumstances! You've got it! :grouphug:

What a Day and it's only Noon.

I got up at 4:45 and gave Hunter all his meds. When he woke up for the day he was feeling good enough for school. I checked on him when I picked up Colby and he was feeling ok so he stayed :cool1:

My Dad called and had forgotten to put out his recycling this morning and asked me to go and do it. I hurried to get ready and headed there before I needed to pick up Colby. I had parked on the back lawn last night as I brought groceries in through the slider as it is a bit shorter. Anyway when they dug up the lawn this weekend they apparently dug up a couple of large rocks. I didn't notice the pile and drove into it. What a noise. Of course I was stuck and the grass was wet. I was able to wiggle my way out, but did some damage to the car. I guess I need a new front pipe for the exhaust  It was stupid and I'm mad at myself for not seeing the rocks :sad2:

Sorry your day was off yesterday. I am glad that Hunter is feeling better though.

Absolutely adorable!!!
Thanks! I didn't get in touch with the director by phone yesterday, so I sent her an e-mail. She came in while we were finishing up today. They weren't thinking about paying me more. They were thinking about lowering the tuition for that class since there will be only one teacher. I told her that the parents were getting the same program that they had been but that I would have all the work to myself. She said, "Well, you certainly don't think that's worth double the pay, do you?" I told her that I would be ok with 1.5 times last year's pay. She needs to call all the other board members and will get back to my by the end of the week. I am a little ticked off and have decided that I will not do it for less than 1.5 times no matter what she comes back with. It just isn't worth it to me. I can't believe that they would think of lowering the cost of the program and not even consider that I should be paid more. UGH! I wish I didn't love the kids so much, because the rest of this job isn't worth it. Sorry for the vent, but I do think I feel a little better.

I have a nephew who is 6 months older than Matthew. People used to always ask SIL and I if they were twins when they were babies. My nephew was clearly larger than Matthew, and they really don't look similar. One day SIL had been asked once too many times, and she said, "Yeah, but I don't feed that one," while pointing to Matthew.

Thanks Beth. I certainly hope they come back with the salary increase.

Your SIL's comment had me :rotfl2:

Thanks for all the anniversary wishes. I did make DH a card but he didn't get me one. I honestly don't care about a card but I am concerned that he didn't go out and get one yesterday. I'm sure he didn't forget. He told me last week he didn't go grocery shopping because he wasn't up for leaving the house.:scared1: It wasn't that he wasn't feeling well-just that he didn't want to leave the house. I didn't go grocery shopping on my way home from work so he would have to leave the house eventually last week but this isn't a good trend. I was hoping he'd enjoy having some time to himself with the kids all in school but he better not become too comfortable house bound. He went to Open House at Lizzy's school-I was thinking he could sign up for a few things but he didn't. Open House for Joe & Emma is this Thursday-maybe I should go and sign him up for a few things. He does well once he's involved in the situation he just doesn't like making the commitment. Last year he did some Plant Science stuff with Lizzy's class (he's certified to teach High School Agriculture) and he seemed to enjoy it and Lizzy really liked it too.

I hope DH can get out and about and find something that sparks his interest.

But Stephanie and I ARE twins :lmao: :lmao:

Well there is that! :goodvibes

I love it! When I took care of Ben and Savannah, people often asked if they were identical. even knowing they were b/g twins! :rotfl:

:lmao: My cousins DD's are fraternal but even at 15 I still can't tell them apart!

DS brought home a packet yesterday. A packet about my nemesis - Science Fair. :scared: I HATE Science Fair. And it is on a stupid timeline like it was last year so every time we turn around some piece of it is due. :headache: I HATE Science Fair. DS has to turn his project title in NEXT WEEK! We don't KNOW our project title yet, you boneheads. The classes haven't even been leveled yet, so he could still end up with a different teacher! Science Fair isn't until February. We DO NOT need the pressure of piece after piece being due from now until the Christmas break. I HATE HATE HATE Science Fair.:furious: I need a little man who hops up and down with rage.

Really? I thought you loved it. :rotfl:

I was precisely 12 and 6 months. The thing is, girls are starting earlier and earlier now. (There have been some articles that say it is from the growth hormones added to cows' milk, but I'm not sure if that's true or not.) The trend over the past 2 decades has put girls starting as early as 9! :scared1:

I got mine on 8/8/88 and I was just shy of 14. My sister said my niece's ped told her that black girls start theirs around the age of 8/9 and white girls are typically between 12 and 13. So my niece could be any where in that range.

For biracial couples, this is not unheard of actually from what I understand.

I know it's possible but Emma at 3 months and Alyssa at 5 weeks and then the fact that one is white and Alyssa is black was a not so bright observation. I'll have to see I can find a pic to scan.

Happy Birthday, Katrina! :dance3:

Ditto!

Hi everyone! I've missed chatting with you all. My parents left this morning. I've been reading and keeping up, but I didn't take the time to post. We had a nice visit. Nicholas' team played really well at their game on Saturday. They ended up winning 28-0. There is a rule in football at this level that if one team has more than 25 pts and the other team has 0, the lead team can't get the ball back until the other team scores. At that point they put in our second string defensive, which included Nicholas as Right Tackle. He ended up on his tushy a few times, but the second string kept them from getting a TD the whole 4th quarter. My dad enjoyed watching the kids play. Saturday afternoon we spent the day around the house, trimming bushes. Then we went out to dinner and some shopping. I need to buy Alyssa some new jeans but she is between sizes. She's too fat for 7 slims and too skinny for 7 regular.

Elin - Sunday afternoon I took my parents on the trolley tour. We had a different guide, who pronounced Rappahannock correctly, but she left out talking about some stuff. :confused3

It's good to be back. :goodvibes:

Glad you enjoyed your visit. Way to go Nicholas!! :cheer2:

I also had highlights done today and hair trial.

G'night, everyone. I'm going to go put my feet up. I've been having Braxton/Hicks all evening, and it's got me a bit freaked out!

Take it easy :wizard:

Have a wonderful time together!!

I see the narrators for the CP have been updated. We get Neil Patrick Harris.

Ooh, I am in love with him!

I didn't sleep well last night, and then some woman phoned at 6:10 AM. She had the wrong number! I figured it was DH calling.

Princess has school today, so no big plans for me.

Hopefully you'll get a moment to rest.

Hope all the "home" issues can be fixed fast and painlessly. How'd the dentist go?

leaving for the port....check in with you soon :banana::banana:

Enjoy!

We "almost" overslept this morning.

Thanks and here's some for you. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:
