Oh good idea![]()
They come around once in a blue moon!
Don't I know it! It's good in a scary way! I figure all this exhaustion is my body reminding me what it will be like with a newborn. I haven't had to deal with that for 6 years!
Sorry about the homework drama. Katie gets that way with math a lot. I emailed her teacher about it, and lately it's been better. Apparently, he works with her (and the class) until he's sure they understand it. The last couple of days, she's been able to complete the math at school. It makes for a happier Katie (not to mention mommy). We still get the drama though. It just manifests differently if math is not the impetus. We've still got piano practicing, violin practicing, the why does this girl hate me thing. It's never ending!
It's comforting to know that we're not alone in this battle of wills!!
Sounds like Alan. He just doesn't think people need something he hasn't thought of. My kids know not to ask him for stuff like that. They simply get it themselves. Of course, then he gives them stink eye!
Definitely stupid!!!! Men!
I guarantee that he'd get just as ticked if they would have gotten up to get it themselves.
Well, I'm all caught up. Guess I have to go make dinner. We're having tuna pizza tonight. Very easy, and my kids will eat it without a fuss (no butter, either, Robyn).
After dinner, I get to fold laundry, do dishes, and then I get to relax! Maybe I'll make the kids do the dishes!!!
Sounds intriguing, would you mind sharing the recipe, please
Thank you Jennifer!!!

Adorable!
OK, 7th grade is NOT GOOD. DS came home and said he had no homework. Which is true if you spin it the right way. DS has like 5 different things due Friday, and none of them are finished. Two of them were just assigned today, 2 of them are things that are due every Friday (reading log and summaries of 2 TV news stories), and one is a HUGE project that isn't due until next month but the directions are very confusing.
He has to make a brochure (like the one from last year, but without directions!). The stupid brochure counts as a project grade in ALL OF HIS CORE CLASSES! He can work with a partner, but DS isn't clear on whether or not they can work on it at school. He also hasn't firmed up WHO his partner will be, but the 2 he named are good choices. The directions say something about 4 pages. OK, so, like a whole 8x11 page?
That's not a brochure where I come from. And DS has no clue, because that's how he rolls.
Is it June yet? I really need it to be June now.
I hope you can get it all figured out.
Just saying hi--just got home from back to school night--13 hours at school today--ugh!
How sweet of Katie to be such a good helper!
I had back and leg issues with Emma too. I was worried that it would linger after birth for a long while but I'm happy to say it went away right away. She was always sitting on my bladder too and I was worried that I'd never be dry again after I had her but that problem went away too.![]()

Thanks, Bernadette.
Sounds like a plan to me, Glynis! Terra was put into service today on several occassions as well. She was actually going to have one more big job, but fell asleep on the way to get Phil and now it's dark. Guess she'll get to pick up sticks tomorrow.Gotta find a way to make that list shorter.
Luckily, her help today crossed off one of the big items so that was good. One more load to wash, 2 to dry and 3 to fold and laundry is done all around too. I've declared a moratorium on laundry after the next load hits the washer. Everyone has been given warning that the load goes in first thing in the morning and after that they are on their own!
Way to go Terra!!
