checking in.....we head home tomorrow....we are ready.

overall we had a great time...a couple of bumps in the road (6 hour ER visit for me)

we briefly ran into Elin & Bob...they look like they are having a great time....doesn't look like we will be able to swing a get together...

hope everyone is well!!!

Oh no, what happened?

without going into endless details....I have another non-viable pregnancy (which I knew before the trip) that isn't resolving itself as it was supposed to. instead my levels have gone up...not up enough to make it viable...but enough to cause hysteria of the medical profession....in turn making Bill absolutely crazy....he keeps hovering on me making me promise I won't die :sad2:...all around crappy situation.

like I said...it's time to come home

 I'm sorry that there have been bumps, but glad you have had a good time all the same. Take care of yourself and you'll be in our thoughts.

Kristine-I am so glad you are safe and back on dry land. Enjoy the last bit of your trip and as always you are in my prayers!

Haven't seen that one yet :lmao:

Be afraid. Be VERY afraid! (And be glad you don't have little girls who would either want one of those atrocities or receive one as a gift!)

Um.... when I click on Cincinnati, there is a list of performances, and next to each of them is a giant square that says "Sold Out" :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Ah! Very good! :rotfl:

Elizabeth, some of the cities already have things available. Others don't go up until tomorrow. I know that ours was available now, but when I checked a few other cities there were some not available yet and others sold out. Good luck with yours!

Thanks! I didn't realize some were already up for grabs. That explains why Jennifer's are sold out!

...so there's a small rumor going around about our 4 night cruise in 5 days...DOUBLE DIP!!! (cross your fingers!)

Good luck! :wizard:

Beth-I am so proud of you!! I was going to suggest you get on the sub para-pro list. I am so sorry that they have taken your "baby" away from you. But, from the sounds of it, this program that you just left will not be around much longer.

Good for you, Beth! :yay: I think getting on the sub list is a great choice! It is time for you to move on after this school year is over!

Done :thumbsup2 I just love that picture :goodvibes

I voted!

Kristine, I am so sorry! I was hoping you had done something stupid that we could all laugh about. This isn't funny. :sad1: I hope you are as OK as you possibly can be under the circumstances.

Why do I always get the kids who like to make LOUD statements about OTHER PEOPLE? I took Princess to the library. There was a heavyset lady coming towards us, and her gait was kind of stiff like maybe she had recently had knee surgery. Princess says "That woman looks funny!"
Then we went to the mall and a woman walked by in kind of a long rayon sundress. Princess goes "LOOK! That lady is wearing her NIGHTGOWN!" Great.

She was MOST impressed that there were police officers on horseback directing traffic out of the synagogue parking lot. That's not a common sight around here.

Oh, and we might have seen a dead guy. :scared1: On the way to the library there was a police car and a fire truck at an intersection. There was a guy in the median with 3 or 4 firemen. Must have been a pedestrian because he didn't have a car, and there were no other cars like there would be if there was an accident. If somebody ran over him they left the scene.:scared: He looked kind of dead. No ambulance, though, so maybe he wasn't dead. :confused3

Kind of strange, because on that same road about the same time yesterday there was an accident with cars involved on BOTH sides of the street. The street is 3 lanes in each direction, not like some narrow little road. Not sure what happened but it was quite a mess!

It's confirmed!!! We are double dipping at Castaway Cay!!! Now if they'd only let me book those shore excursions for Monday I'd be all set! We can fit in parasailing and kayaking now!!! This calls for a  !

Glynis, I am so sorry to hear about your mom. You and your entire family are in my prayers.

Kristine, praying for you and Bill too!

And, Chanon , hooray for the double dip cruise!~

Yay! :yay:
That sounds fun! :dance3: Well, the parasailing sounds fun. And if you guys want to kayak, more power to you! :rotfl2:
I LOVE to kayak. I'd love to get Bob in a kayak too - he's never done that. The first time I ever kayaked was in Jacksonville near Amelia Island IN THE OCEAN (well, an inlet, but there were strong currents in that thing!) I was petrified that I was going to fall in. The instructor made me get in the kayak and rock the boat HARD by rocking the boat with my lower body (hips down) to, in his words, "attempt to tip the boat." It was impossible to do and completely put me at ease and I had a blast. I'd love to do it on CC to see the natural landscape of the island that noone else sees.

Yuck. I'm sorry that you are going through this again, ever more so when you're not at home to deal with it

Crud. Off to wake up Princess so we can go get DS.
The band director has decided to just do percussion on Thursdays after school. But does he tell the PARENTS? Nooooo.:sad2: Silly man. At least we anticipated not having practice today so it's not a complete surprise. It's a surprise that Princess is still sleeping, but when she hears that we are going to get DS she will be WIDE awake! :rotfl2:

I will come back in a bit...I am trying to catch up. BUT....

I HAD A FABULOUS TIME!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

I love you all dearly but 15 minutes in to our time and we were completing each other's sentences. It was like finding a piece of my heart that I didn't know was missing.:lovestruc

Yes it was!

Thanks, Theresa for posting about our weekend and about my mom.

I really appreciate all the support from all of you! It means so much to me. I talked to my brother yesterday, and he had just gotten off the phone with my mom's heart doctor. Sometimes my dad tends to exaggerate things, so my brother wanted to hear the news from the doctor. Basically, they could do surgery to chip away all the calcification, and replace the two valves, but her heart muscle isn't really strong enough so her chances of surviving the surgery are 20 to 30 percent. The doctor told my brother he wouldn't let his wife or mother have the surgery with the odds that low. He also said that it's very difficult to put a time frame on this, as her health (other than this) has improved greatly. He said she could live as long as 2 years, or as little as 2 months.

After I talked to my brother my mom called me. She wanted to let me know that she's at peace with this decision, and really feels like she wouldn't have survived another heart surgery. Her plan is to take it day by day, and be here for Peanut's birth and beyond. They have hired home health care nurses to help her exercise her arms and legs, as they will quickly start to atrophy. She will probably be wheelchair bound by the end of the year, so that's another thing to try to get all worked out. She sounded in good spirits, and it really helped to know that she and my dad both feel very peaceful about their decision.

I probably won't be around too much for the next month or so. Dad has business trips he can't get out of, so I'm planning on spending as much time as possible with mom. She has to have someone with her 24/7, and after much prayer and talking, Alan feel like I should be there with her.

I'll keep you all updated as things progress, but for now, we are all just trying to deal with it, and come to the same peace mom and dad have.
