Off to check it out!
I guess the girls had you up last night, huh?

Good morning. :)

With all the rain we got yesterday, now my lawn needs to be mowed.

Janet - I love the new picture in your signature!

Not really. A little overtired. Becky called last night at 12:30am in tears. Her stomach was hurting her worse than it ever had she said. She couldn't sleep (that is 1:30 down there) and she was laying on the floor because she has a top bunk. She said she was twitching and couldn't get the right temperature (she was either too hot or too cold).

It was awful not being able to help her out except to talk with her. She called back about 3 times until 2am my time. I finally was able to help her relax enough so that she could crawl in her bed and at least relax enough to get some rest. She said she fell asleep about 5:00am. I don't think she is eating right. I had a talk with her about it today.

She is meeting a lot of people but she says she doesn't have much in common with them. Unfortunately, she is too much like her mother. I don't have the same sense of humor as most people and seem to have a much more black & white of right & wrong than many and so does she. I reminded her when I dropped her off that she has to remember that there are many shades of grey between our black & white and she has to be tolerant.

I knew it would be hard for her to move away. I'm really proud of her for doing it.

 for both of you. It is so hard when they go off and you know there will be struggles. You are rightfully proud!

Another :grouphug: for you with having to deal with this yourself. I usually worry about my mother since she lives alone in the town I graduated from and we have no other family there. She is living with my sister right now and helping with my niece & nephew. I really need to call and check on her. That's the other thing that is weighing on me.

Instead of creating stronger bonds, our Disney trip in June put a split between my sister & my family. My girls and Chuck didn't appreciate the way she treated me. With mom living down there, I've hardly talked with mom since. Normally in this time frame, I'd have seen her two or three times (on my way through to Lansing) and talked with her at least once every week or two. I think I've talked to her twice since the trip.

Good Night Friends,

I have to make an early morning trip to DD's, Brandon's bday party is tomorrow and she decided to decorate the cake herself, only problem is she has never done one before, so I'll be heading out to "help" her.

Have a good evening

I hope you all have a wonderful birthday party today, Debbie! :cake:

Oh, Vicki... that is so sad. I hope you can mend the rift for your sake. I know your sister went through a lot this past year or so, but there is NO excise for her to treat you badly. And for you and your Mom to suffer because of it is so sad. Life is too short for this kind of junk, isn't it???

Remember, cake is always good, even if it looks a little odd! :thumbsup2
(Well, I take that back. Last weekend DH went to that retirement party and I stayed home. He brought a piece of cake home for me and it was gross. It was a yellow/chocolate marble cake, but it was really oily looking. It smelled kind of like coconut and tasted faintly like pineapple juice. It was NOT good. I took a few bites and tossed it in the trash.)

:scared1: Elizabeth threw cake in the trash

:lmao: just kidding I would have done it with out tasting it from the way you describe how it looked.

I popped on here just to post a link that I can't believe I've failed to post up until now. When we were at Miami, Kyle was in and then led an a capella group. They mostly did (and still do) popular songs - and not so popular, but usually hidden gems! - but occasionally, they write their own...
