DDA Chapter 11

Boy, it was chilly this morning, but it warmed up quickly! I love fall, but I hope it holds off a little for Channon's sake!

Leighanna had a good day at school. She liked being picked up. Although I forgot to ask where to pick her up at. I waited at the door she came out last year, (appparently that is just for Kindergarteners). Leighanna found me, so I now know which door to wait at tomorrow!

We are all feeling a little out of sorts. Leighanna has gotten a cold, and I fear that it is trying to get to me too. Hopefully I can catch it quickly with Zicam, and not suffer the full effects of it.

I am hanging in there. My vision is OK now, and I worked through the slurred speech/not being able to get the right word out. Now I just have a headache. I drank 2 bottles of water and took 600 mg. of ibuprofen. I tried to call Momboss to ask her if she could come home but I couldn't get her at her office or on her cell so I'm still working. I'm hoping it doesn't get bad enough that I need DH to come get me. I think I should be able to drive home.

I can't believe they STILL aren't telling you! :headache:

I hope you can figure things out tomorrow... the anticipation is so unfair!

It is definitely fairly frustrating. The only thign I can think of is that tomorrow night is the Board meeting, but I think I should be able to get an idea! so HOPEFULLY ill find out tomorrow! I mean, school starts on wednesday of next week, nothing like waiting til the last minute!

Terry, glad I am not the only one who cried. Was starting to worry I might be strange.

Well actually I am, but that's moot point. :teeth:

I can cry at a drop of a hat!!!! I cry at commercials.:lmao:

Elizabeth, :wizard: that the headache doesn't get worse.

Jen, hope you hear something definite soon. pixiedust:

Tom, glad to hear Leighanna had a good first day, and that she enjoys being picked up. My mom did that a lot for my sister and I and we really liked it also.

Terry, I too can cry at the drop of a hat, wonder why that is? One of the reason I don't watch the news or read the paper, too much depressing news.

I sometimes watch the news but will mute or turn away when it is really depressing because I just get so upset by it all. I think the crying is because I was not allowed to as a child, so I finally after getting married was able to express my emotions. The kids would watch me to see when I would cry, but now the two oldest say they get emotional because of having kids. I said I would not tease them. I am just happy they finally get it that it is okay to express yourself.

I survived my homework times 3  Of course everything was on colored paper so no photocoping for me. We had my parents over for a nice sit down dinner. We really don't get the chance to sit down as a family at the dining room table often enough. The boys each shared their days in depth and I think we all enjoyed it. Chris, my parents and brother then went out and split wood. I still had laundry to do and odds and ends so I managed to avoid the wood pile :thumbsup2 I also managed to get the checkbook balanced, budget done and the checks are written and ready to mail tomorrow. That took the better part of the day, but I only had time here or there to work on it. Now I can check Colby's room and the bills off my to do list :cool1: I'll probably run a few errands in the morning tomorrow then pick up Colby at school. I also got UPS confirmation that my living room curtains have been shipped so those should be here on Thursday. It feels like my house is coming together :cool1: Of course you get one room done and then another that didn't look so bad suddenly looks out of place. I have a feeling that will never end though.

Terry I agree with your kids. I became much more emotional after having the kids. I also get motion sickness now :confused3

Awwww...Nick is reading a bedtime story to Colby

Tammi - I think it was you that Bob got you Disney stock for a special occasion? Did you get a W-9 in the mail from Disney a few weeks/months later? I just wanted to verify before filling it out and sending it back.

I probably wont be on too much tonight--im exhausted and have to get up again early tomorrow--so just in case i dont get back, goodnight! and hopefully ill let you know what i find out ASAP!

I saw the woman that I needed to talk to about this job, but she was just there to introduce herself at the beginning of the meeting and then was gone. Tomrorow, we have meetings til 1145 then we go to the school we are employed at. So HOPEFULLY ill be able to find the lady i need to talk to in the morning, and if not, ill be calling the district again during a break. BUT on the bright side, there was no one in my orientation that had the kindergarten position at that school.
so thanks for the good thoughts--think them again tomorrow!

Hope you hear something tomorrow!

Elizabeth I hope your headache went away & that you made it home safely on your own :wizard:

Um, I don't remember. I think so. I know I got a dividend of $.25!

I'm glad everyone is getting back into the routine of school with good days.

Elizabeth - hope you staved off your headache.

Jen - continued :wizard:

My kids' teacher assignments came today. They both got who they were hoping for, and I'm pleased with the assignments. Alyssa has the same 1st grade teacher that Nicholas had, so that makes it easy for me, already knowing her. Nicholas has a male teacher for the first time, which I think will be good for him. Thursday is back to school night.

So tonight I got to take Nicholas to his football practice. He's been playing for a few weeks now, but since I've been away this was the first time I've gone. Boy, I think we are in for a long season. He was pretty good at soccer, but I think he's in for an awakening. The age group is 8, 9 and 10. He is the smallest kid out there and probably won't get played that much. He seems to be enjoying it, so I talked to him about not expecting much and just taking the year to learn the game. We'll see how it goes.
