The repairman came to work on my ice machine again, and it seems to be working. The guy also came and cleaned the inside windows and gave me a bid on replacing a broken window in the garage. He'll come back to do the roof work when our weather gets better.

One thing I have always felt very strong about is my children's friends minding the rules in my house. If they misbehaved, they went home. No excuses, just sent them home. Somehow it ended up that my kids stopped being friends with them because they saw the person in a different light as time went on and realized that child was not really a friend.

It was the same here..I have had freinds (in elementary/middle school) that were sent home because they werent following house rules

Getting a bit better everyday. I am still having a hard time opening my mouth and chewing so im still on mostly soft foods. My throat/mouth gets so dry really quickly and it is hard to talk...
The bandages came off my scar today and it doesnt look too bad, just red, wihch will go down.
Im just going day by day and hoping it gets better soon--tomrorow will be 2 weeks since the surgery

Oh, we definitely check for changes with airtran.... even before all the other airlines "followed suit" and messed with peoples, ours have always changed It usually works for the better though, in that most times they honor better sales if I time my calls right!

I am in a major funk today. I feel like I'm totally stressed out, but I really have no good reason to be. I have a huge to do list, but nothing on it is life or death Of course any little thing that the boys do is driving me nuts.

My cousin is on her way to cut our hair. Maybe I'll take a nap after that and hope to wake up in a better mood

I hate when that happens! I hope your day has brightened up a bit!

Well, our doctor does perform surgeries on the 8th and the Monday before that, so I'm thinking you are probably right!!!

Fly by post!

DS got up this morning and said his stomach hurt. Shortly after that he was throwing up. At least we are home, and DH and I are both off today.

Bernadette just called and said she can't get ahold of Anne Marie to discuss their fireworks cruise. Anybody heard from her?? Bernadette said it is pouring - I guess Fay is on the way!

I am desperately trying to get some laundry done but my table is covered in pins. Can't fold laundry until the pins are put away!

Speaking of pins, Jennifer & Heidi, I bought the pins for you. I actually bought them twice. I couldn't find the ones I bought first, so I thought maybe I didn't buy them when I first looked at them. Yesterday I found them. I'll post links to the duplicates I have, and if anyone is interested you can let me know. Vicki, I got your AP pin, too!
We found some strange counterfeits. It is interesting to see the odd things that pop up around the parks!

So i just bought my first christmas present of the season. I came downstairs and my dad was watching QVC (which he NEVER does!). They are doing a special on Dallas Cowboys since this is the last year with their current stadium. So I saw something he mentioned waas nice...texted my brother, and we just bought it....first present in august..i believe that is a new record!

Hi, Marci! Thank you again for the tote full of goodies!
DS has been fine ever since he threw up. Of course we cancelled his "well" check and the Dr's office never called me back to tell me when he can go in. This is the 3rd time we have had to change that appt!

Jen - I hope you are continuing to feel better! Did I see that you have a job?

I hope the tropical storm blows through quickly so Bernadette and Anne Marie can get on with their trips!

Is it wrong of me to be really annoyed with one of Leslie's friends? They are over here playing right now, and I'm about ready to send her home. She is constantly trying to get Leslie to break the rules of our house. I have to intervene and really get harsh with her, and then she just glares at me. I am about ready to tell Leslie that it's time her friend went back to her own house. I've tried talking to her guardian about it, but it does no good. This little girl's mother didn't want the responsibility of taking care of her, so gave her to an aunt to raise. Lis does the best she can, but this little girl is so manipulative! It drives me crazy!!!

Ok, vent over. I've got them outside playing, so hopefully they'll stay out of trouble.

I did have an odd Christmas-related experience today, though. I was in the Yankee Candle store and smelling the Christmas scents (fall and holiday housewarmer candles are my absolute FAVORITE early seasonal change!). I totally felt like Christmas was just around the corner... until I walked out and was immediately sweating. It's so weird with the girls here, to not wish away the time anymore ...

I THINK I know which bag they are in. Maybe. But I also think I am out of padded envelopes so it might be a few days. You wanted the Visa Fab 5 pin and the DVC Mickey, correct? I have an extra DVC Chip & Dale if you want that one, too.

Public service announcement:

Be VERY careful with those stupid blue bags from WDW. The blue rubs off of the bags. Depending on what it rubs on, it can be permanent. My fingernails were all blue one day. DS bought the set of MK rubber ducks - all 7 designs. He had them in his backpack. Something else in one of those blue bags was in his pack as well, and the blue from the bag ruined his Splash Mtn. duck. I need to find the receipt for it, then Disney merchandising and I are going to have a little chat. He wasn't carrying the pack around the parks so it wasn't because the bag got hot. His backpack stayed in the hotel room.

I got a fabulous package today from Bernadette! She sent a whole pile of (I'm assuming) handmade bibs and burp cloths. They are very cute, and so nice and absorbent - I can't wait to use them! I will really try my best to post pictures, but I'm alone on colic-watch tonight (Kyle's on call) - hence the page-by-page posting. The girls are actually doing ok for the time being, but I'm terrified to let myself believe we're in the clear. These few hours of every day always seem worse than the previous day, so I do my best to assume the worst for as long as I can hold up

I have a long term sub position for oct -march in first grade.
BUT i have a meeting with the director of elementary education on wednesday morning about a kindergarten all year position so keep your fingers crossed
