DDA Chapter 10

Well, we were very lucky and got 2 different Pin codes last week... so we are now going back Dec 13-20 at the Poly! Anyone going to be there during that time? We are not telling the kids. I think they are going to be so excited!

Awesome Terry & Stephanie will be there the 11th - 15th & Lindsay 11th - 19th.

So I get to have the joy of coming up with a school contract for Abi and find out about Cassidy's boyfriend tonight

Abi got C's in 2 classes that for her should have been easy A's (band was one of them , science the other ) the girl did her homework, practiced her euphonium just never turned what was needed in So we will have a year long contract and we'll see how it goes.

Cassidy is more fun...she has a new boyfriend that I know nothing about so I told her that she needed to tell me more about him...she said sooner or later I said ...nope TONIGHT. I know he's taller (but almost everybody is) and she met him through this very irritating sophmore and goes to George Washington High School which is in the heart of Denver...oh and he calls her sunshine in text messages. ARRRRRRRRRGH.

Cassidy asked how my day was so far...I told her I've stayed out of jail She asked what I had done now I told her I've been a good girl and not done the things that have popped into my head.

oh does not sound like fun at your house tonight.

got a pincode in the mail today too..it was addressed to my friend Kristen, we went to disney together last may..i doubt we will be able to use it, especially if i have a job, but im still looking at dates, just in case!

Well the boys are enrolled in school & my baby is now officially a high schooler

Riley's principle approached him while we were at his school & asked him if was going to play football. He told him he wanted to, but thought it was to late to sign up. There is a practice tonight & the principle told him to be there. So we will see what happens.

got a pincode in the mail today too..it was addressed to my friend Kristen, we went to disney together last may..i doubt we will be able to use it, especially if i have a job, but im still looking at dates, just in case!

Hi, DDA!

Long time, no "see" - I miss my friends! I hope everyone is well - I have been thinking a lot about all the DDA'ers who I think are either in, or newly returned, from the World! I hope everyone stays safe with TS Fay approaching and are having/have had great trips! I kind of keep forgetting that it's hurricane season - we'll be on the Wonder this time in 2 weeks!

Can someone catch me up? I've gone back about 20 pages, but let me know if there are further issues at play here - I'm embarrassed to admit that I've been pretty much off the DIS since early June! Work has just been crazy busy, although there is a (somewhat self-imposed) lull today - I'm so tired from cleaning and running errands all weekend, that it's been hard to be motivated today, not that there's not PLENTY to do. It's been a rainy, gray day, too, and all I want is a nap!

Lots of PD all around!!!!!

Sounds like you could use a nice long hot bath

I have found that my comfort and calmer (like a security blanket) is a long, hot shower. I've been so stressed lately that I run through our hot water heater at least once a day, even in the record breaking heat we had.

I am also trying to figure out how to swing a weekend(or longer) all to myself nowhere in the state of Colorado. I've been wanting to run away for a long time...probably should do it soon before I am truly tempted by the felonious thoughts in my head.

it's tough to move school buildings isn't it??
I am glad he's already having a positive experience at school!!

I like how our new principal is starting off the school year!! I've got one more registration/school year to go through and then really, truly my baby will be a high schooler. and if she survives Cassidy will be a HS graduate!!

How exciting, Denise! Congrats on the pin code! Is this in lieu of your GF trip you had scheduled? We'll have to see if we can find an opportunity to say "hi" this time, since we'll only be a monorail or boat ride away from the 15th to the 19th (when we'll be at the GF).

Theresa - I'm not sure what all is going on, but I'm sending you heaping doses of PD and lots of prayers. Everyone needs some "cave time" - it sounds like you need a dose soon!

I'm not sure what days we'll be around. We're missing the first game for the cruise (a good trade-off IMO ), and I know we'll just be driving down/back the same day for the Arkansas game. Beyond that, it will just depend on the schedule. I will let you know if there will be a time we're staying longer than just for the game - in most instances, we just drive to the stadium, see the game, and then drive back home. It's easier (and cheaper) to not spend the night!

Is it wrong of me to be really annoyed with one of Leslie's friends? They are over here playing right now, and I'm about ready to send her home. She is constantly trying to get Leslie to break the rules of our house. I have to intervene and really get harsh with her, and then she just glares at me. I am about ready to tell Leslie that it's time her friend went back to her own house. I've tried talking to her guardian about it, but it does no good. This little girl's mother didn't want the responsibility of taking care of her, so gave her to an aunt to raise. Lis does the best she can, but this little girl is so manipulative! It drives me crazy!!!

Ok, vent over. I've got them outside playing, so hopefully they'll stay out of trouble.
