DDA Chapter 10

I guess I'd better hit the hay. Another busy day on tap for tomorrow.

Hi DDA! I for one am glad it's staying somewhat quiet around here... although I sincerely hope everyone is still doing well, just staying busy :)

Good luck to all of you facing career changes, large or small. I know how unsettling that can be at any time, but especially when the change (or potential change) is a major one. And congratulations, Jen, on the job offer! :yay:

I think I missed half of the people traveling right about now, but I hope you all have/are having magical trips!

Good luck to all the DDA kiddos (and moms and dads!) with school starting soon. I can't believe it's that time! Many schools around here aren't going back until September 2nd this year, but some start next week (and some started this week ). I can't believe how nonexistent a summer can be when pregnant, delivering twins and having two new babies. I swear it was just Valentine's Day! :faint:

I'm off to hopefully get a lot done this morning. Yesterday I got to spend several hours with the most adorable baby boy, and his big brother and sister. Well, and their mommy. :) I'll post pictures of the Kaufman/Hardman "play date" ;) as soon as I get a chance. I think Amy might have a few more. We didn't take a bunch, but should have a couple to share. I know she's really busy right now, too, getting ready for Matty's birthday party this weekend. :goodvibes: We managed afterward to go to the grocery store just before bedtime, and I cleaned a little in the middle of the night. We have some family members coming by so I have a lot to finish this morning.... they'll probably be here as soon as we get home from a carnival I promised to attend at Max's House.

Please have a good day, DDA! :grouphug:

Deb, :wizard: for getting the certifications that are needed for possibly getting a new job.

That is a great savings...I wouldnt have thought discounts during Christmas, but thats great--i bet you guys were thrilled!

To be totally open about the discount... We have a great AP rate on December 22 and 23, and rack rate on December 24, 25, and 26. But, the savings on the 22nd and 23rd just about covered our Dining Plan! We will use our DD credits on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day when DDE is not valid.

So I decided to take the first step in the job hunt. I found a number for the new aquatic center. They have hired a director for the facility, but there will be more management postions opening up. It is going to be quite the facility with a competition pool, recreation pool, waterslide, lazy river and fitness center. I am so excited to have the facility so close to home and we will definitely have a family membership whether I work there or not. I was given the phone number for the director and talked to him briefly. He wants me to email him my resume, but was concerned that I am not certified at anything :rotfl: The pool will not be opening until January so I do have time to get some of the needed certifications. I need to work on my resume as I haven't needed one in 7 years. I also called various places to find out about upcoming classes that I would need. I think that I will take the courses no matter what as they could be useful in the future in ways that I haven't even began to think of. So who can I list as a personal reference on my resume? Any takers :rotfl2:

Here is a link to the Aquatic Center

The facility looks to be exemplary! I have such a good feeling about this for you, Deb. Hone that resume' over the next few days (there re sites onlin that can assist). I also know any one of us would be happy to be listed as a personal reference for you! I just wonder the reaction of the director when he calls us to ask how we know you... ;)

Good Morning form Disney. We really enjoyed meeting everyone last night, we all have pictures so I'm sure someone will post soon.

It is crazy crowded, but the heat hasn't been that bad. We were are Studios yesterday for rope drop and the run for Toy Story was INSANE!

We rode with a fastpass last night and the standby wiat wes 130 minutes. :scared1:

We're having a good time but definitely looking forward to November.

Hold on to those precious days, because it will be their 21st birthdays before you know it! :goodvibes

Can't wait to see the new photos of the playdate. How lucky for you all to have one another.

:wave2: Hi, Debbie! I am glad the trip is going well so far. How fun to meet our friends for dinner. Can't wait to see the pictures. I hope the rest of the vacation is just as much fun!!

I'll post the picture real quick before we head out to "Apricot" this morning.
