I gotta go pack. I gotta scan passports and make copies. I gotta print some other stuff. Lots to do too little time. Our flight is tomorrow at 5:50pm.  :cool1: :cool1: :dance3: :cheer2: Accomplishing anything is difficult. I am still supposed to work tomorrow. I have a conference call from 3-4pm. I will be calling on my way to the airport.

My Dad has diverticulitis, so he is pretty miserable. I think the stuff he had to drink to have the tests done made things worse. I just hope he feels better, as this trip was his idea.

I gotta try and accomplish something. TTYL

Becky,,,,,,have a wonderful trip Hope your Dad feels better day by day.

I had the root canal done and my mouth really hurts. Hal did make the best Eggplant Lasagne ever. I tried to eat, but after a few bites, I had to stop. Thank goodness for Gin and Tonics!!!! :lmao:

I even called Stephanie and whined a bit!!! :lmao:

Terry feel better:wizard:

Well apparently every body was busy today. I am headed to bed gotta work. The girls and I are headed to the beach on Fri with my mom and nephew,

Terry- Feel better:wizard: :grouphug:

I was told to wait until tomorrow to pack. As I can not handle moving the suitcase by myself and people are not sure how much longer they are staying up. So I am being enabled to not pack. They know how cranky I get about packing. I was willing to pack, you would think when I want to pack I would be left to do so. But apparently not.;) :rotfl:

I currently can not find the power squid. Gotta be able to power everything we are taking. So I need to find it, if not a power strip will do.

So I hope packing goes easy tomorrow and I find everything I need and am able to pack without going over the limits. I think the trick is going to be coming home under those limits.

Becky - I am betting your Dad will feel bette soon and will adapt his diet so that he continues to feel better. HAVE A WONDERFUL TRIP!!! It is an amazing opportunity!

Im starting to get REALLY nervous about my appointment tomorrow--im able to chew, but it hurts ALOT when i do chew..and the left side of my face is still swollen and sore...Im so petrified that there is something more goign on. I do not want to have to get wired...so plesae keep the good thoughts comign!

:wizard:

I just went over my interview with one of the ladies here...she was a headhunter before she retired (she's so good the company still emails her jobs to fill). She said I handled the interview perfectly and that it was great that it was an hour long.

I am hoping they make their decision by tomorrow because I think I would die waiting until the Director came back from vacation to find out. :scared:

Ouch. Maybe you should open a nice bottle of wine and "wine" a bit ;)

There are so many of you heading out to vacation soon. I am a BIT envious. Hopefully a few of you will stick around and keep me company.

I know this will sound strange, but I frequently ask myself what I want to be when I grow up. I really feel like I've never found that "career" that not only provides money, but fulfills my life. I find myself thinking more about it as Colby gets ready to go to school. Lately I am thinking about how much I enjoyed teaching children to swim. Of course my Water Safety Instructor and Life Guard Certifications ran out 20 years ago, but it really wouldn't be hard to recert. We have a new indoor swimming facitlity that will be opening this winter. I am toying with the idea of tracking down the owner and feeling them out for the pool director position. It would work well for me in a lot of ways. I'd be working with kids, teaching them an important life skill. I would be providing myself with daily exercise, and swimming is a whole body workout. If I were the director I could probably make up my own schedule to some extent which would allow me to do things with the kids when I need to. My degree is in Small Business Management so I would also finally be using my degree. My problem is that I have no idea who to contact. I guess if I really want to pursue it I should start doing some research. I also have no idea what a position like that would pay :confused3 Does that seem like a reasonable job for a soon to be 39 year old woman?

You have to do what will make you happy. Ask a lot of questions. Go for it!!!!!!

Go for it, Deb! Sounds perfect for you. I came to my current career at age 41! I had been an elementary school music teacher, but not piano and composition and not in over 10 years since I had taken time off as a SAHM. I cannot imagine what my life would have been like without what I am doing now. I think following a dream is the best thing you can do for yourself now at the young age of 39!

Not strange at all. I've never been one to think it's ONLY about going for a job that "looks good on paper." I think finding something that you enjoy doing while contributing financially to your family AND having the ability to make a difference in others' lives, whether it be directly or indirectly, is the right job. Even if you aren't directly using your degree, that education got you where you are today so you've been using it. I agree with Terry -- ask those questions and get to researching!

HAVE A WONDERFUL TRIP!!!!!!   :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :dance3: :dance3:

Ditto! I hope you all have terrific vacations!

We're supposed to get up to 101 today, but then we might have a high in the 80s this weekend. I'll believe it when I see it, but the thought of it is very exciting!

We have tax-free shopping this weekend, so I'm going to try to go out and get the shoes we need for school today and ask the store to hold them until tomorrow. The stores will be a zoo but if I can get the right sizes/styles picked out today, it might not be such a nightmare. I've really been dreading this as Andrew has to wear dress shoes to school this year. I already bought their uniforms when Parker had 10% off in July.

Have a good day everyone!

So I am on the verge of a breakdown. We might not be going. My Dad is feeling worse and does not think he wants to go at all. My Mom refuses to go if my Dad does not go. My Dad is telling us to go without him. My Dad says knowing all of us will stay home makes him feel worse. They keep going back and forth. Who knows what will happen.

Just keep my whole family in your prayers. Especially that my Dad feels better. I really want to go on the trip. But perhaps it is just not meant to be.

I still have to pack. So I guess I am off to shower and pack and prepare for the trip I may or may not be going on.

I hope you all have a great day.
