Hi, everyone. Sorry to be MIA. Life is BUSY! Surgery went very well, and I my panties are dry all the time now! ;) :thumbsup2 :cool1: School starts Monday for the kids, and I started work this past Monday. We just finished packing up all the kids' supplies for Monday. We met their teachers yesterday, and I hear that we have the top 3 2nd grade teachers (sucking up to the right people pays off!). They are super excited. BK got a new HSM lunch box and a Camp Rock backpack. The boys are sticking with their blue and orange from last year. We went to dinner tonight to celebrate going back to school since I work Sat and Sun nights. They are letting me leave an hour early so I can be home to put them on the bus the 1st day.

Work Wed night was great. They gave me 3 babies, and I was amazed how much I remembered. Everyone seems nice. I am looking forward to being with the sicker babies in 8 weeks as I like all the gadgets and gizmos. Life is just crazy busy, and I am trying to sleep whenever possible. I still am sick, so I went back to the doctor today. On another 2 weeks of antibiotics, inhalers (I'm wheezing pretty bad), etc. Pray it kicks it!

This week I work Sat, Sun nights, orientation for the NICU for 8 hours (day) on Tuesday. Then for the next 3 weeks I work Sat, Sun, Mon night and have 8 hour NICU class on Friday days. I may not be on a ton as I adjust back to the working world.

Have a great weekend, y'all!

Denice good to hear from you. glad surgery went well. Hope the meds kick what ever is making you sick.

so the last hour at work was interesting...Jim called at 4 and I asked him why he wasn't at his second job...he said how'd you know I worked and I didn't? Because you told me on Monday. :headache:

Than a half hour later I reached across my desk and ended up on the floor:rotfl: . My chair BROKE. I swear even the furniture is telling me to get out!!:lmao:

oh no I hope you did not get hurt.

Denise-we love having you pop on whenever you get a chance. You & your job sound like the perfect match:goodvibes

Denise, It is good to see you when you can make it on line. Just take care of yourself.

Hi everyone-
I read everything but lost my big post commenting. Im feeling okay tonight--I was able to eat mashed potatos and a grilled cheese sandwich (not at the same time!) I also have been drinking water and gatorade.
I am going to go to bed early and relax, but wanted to say thanks for the good thoughts!
Talk to you all soon

So it is 67 degrees here, it is supposed to get down to 59 tonight. It is gorgeous, the windows are open and there is a nice breeze. A few days ago it was 90+ degrees.

I am so glad that tomorrow is only supposed to be 76 degrees, as we have the Girl Scout kick off. Last year the kick off was on the hottest day of the summer. We had to wear khaki pants and polo shirts and it was not fun. We have to wear the same tomorrow, but the weather should be much nicer for that attire.

It's great to hear from you. I'm glad that work is going well and you are enjoying the babies. I can't believe that it is time for school to begin already. Pop in whenever you get a chance.

Thanks for all the welcome homes. I got 3 loads of laundry done (1 more to go). We started watching the Olympics and I'm finding that my kids are just at the right age to soak up all the info about the country and the events. Nicholas studies China this past year so he is very interested. Then I gave them the Epcot Passports that I made (thanks Deb!) and we flipped through all of the countries, talking about the flags and the clothes. They are very excited to have them stamped at all the Kidcot stations. Now they are in bed, and so am I. It is so nice to be in my own bed!

I'm glad they liked them. If you get the little tags that attach to the masks make sure to attach them to the center of the spiral so they don't slip off the ends :thumbsup2

Chris and I are having cocktails and watching the opening ceremonies. The kids are at my parent's house so we can actually relax and enjoy the ceremony :thumbsup2

I was thinking about that. Thanks for confirming my suspicions.

What kinds of things did they write in the passports in their native languages? Things like "hello" or the kids' names?

So, what is everyone's favorite sport?

Gymnastics.

What has been your favorite moment so far during the opening ceremonies?

The fireworks and the boxes that moved up and down.

Hmm,
I would say swimming, followed by Gymnastics.

no particular favorite part. I missed the fireworks.

I like swimming, synchronized swimming, and diving.

My favorite part was the drums.

Hello, DDA! We're home again for a few more days and then WDW in 5 days! EEEKKK!!! Good thing Elizabeth's not here, because I haven't even started packing yet.

I had a nice visit with my parents and a quiet celebration for my dad's birthday. They are thinking seriously of putting their (MY!) house up for sale and moving into a smaller place. I'm sure that is best for them, so I'm being good, but my insides are screaming.

I read back a page or so...

Jen, I hope that your recovery is complete soon. How scary for you to pass out like that and then need to go to the ER.

Jennifer (bear), I hope that the medicine kicks in quickly for you. Miles had thrush and I had a breast infection when I was nursing him. OUCH!

Jennifer (tink), I am sorry that the girls are sick, and I hope that they are on their way to being 100% better. It's so hard to see the little ones sick, and I'm sure it's tiring for you.

Denise, I'm glad you popped in and that I happened to read at the right time to catch your post. Great news about the surgery and the job!

Tammi, Welcome home!

Synchronized swimming here. ;) But I can't find a reliable schedule of when/if it will be shown. (And we'll be at WDW all the days it's going to be on.)

We are dvr-ing the ceremonies to watch tomorrow.

Gymnastics in summer and figure skating in winter.

Bob's recording too many shows, so I got cut off after the boxes. That was cool!
I think my favorite sport is swimming and gymnastics.
Invites still aren't done. I'm getting there. 9 more to go I think...
