Jen- :wizard: for Joe and :wizard: for you as you wait.

Elizabeth- Good thoughts and :wizard: headed your mom's way today. I hope things continue to be easy.

Theresa- How are you feeling this morning? :wizard:

Karen- Welcome back. Watkins is gorgeous!!

Tom- :cool1: on the new ticker!!!

Elin- :yay: on the new car!! Very cute.

Tia- :wizard: that you still have your job on Monday.

Jennifer- :wizard: I hope you all can manage without the A/C. :wizard: for Virginia. Molly had those Rocephin shots all the time with her ears, they are not fun at all.

Jennifer- Sounds like you and the girls had an exhausting day. I hope everyone was able to catch some ZZZ's

Glynis- Welcome back!!

Tammi-:yay: for the Fit!!

Elizabeth - I have a favor to ask of you when you are at AKL. Could you take a peek at the In-Room Dining menu and let me know if it has changed much from the menu on Deb Wills' site?

http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_aklin.htm

Since we don't know when the girls' planes will arrive on Christmas Eve we have discussed with Don at IPO the possibility of doing dinner in our rooms that night with a specialty cake for dessert. I am interested to know if the menu has changed since the one on AllEars is from 2007 and I know that Brian Piasecki is new as chef at Jiko since then. I also seem to remember that there was a change in chef's at Boma although I might be remembering something from longer ago than that.

Jen - I hope to read soon that you have some news about Joe.

Elizabeth - lots of good thoughts are sent for your Mom's chemo treatment today. I am sure things will go well. Bob's Mom has been having chemo treatments for decades (yes, you read that right) and tolerates them very well. They are also lifesaving.

Wow! And here we were thinking 6 months sounded like along time! :scared1: It's good that Bob's mom doesn't have any ill effects!
My main concerns are 1) that Mom has it in her mind that the treatments will all be as easy as the first one and 2) that Diva will take off in her new car and Mom will be all by herself and 3) that Mom will just try to tough it out if she does feel sick and maybe let herself get dehydrated, etc. before she decides to ask for help. That's kind of how she rolls.

It's like Robyn was saying about having to "stay in front of the pain" when Emma had her tonsils out. I have talked to Mom about preventing the pain and nausea rather than attempting to treat it after it is so intense she can't stand it. But (all together now) she DOESN'T LISTEN TO ME! And she felt OK after the first infusion, so I think she is feeling kind of cocky now, like none of the upcoming treatments will be bad. Of course that would be fabulous, but I don't want her morale to slump if she does have side effects.

I am so not cut out to handle change well. This week has just been wonky. Last night Eric didn't get home until 7:30. He was done at 4 but the metro was delayed so he waited and waited. Lucy did not appreciate that at all!! She cried and cried and cried til he walked in the door. I was trying to fix dinner and screwed it up(I was adding a tad of spicy red pepper oil and ended up adding about 1/3 of the bottle, Eric and I were able to eat it but there was no way the girls were touching it) that I ended up ordering pizza. That did not get here until 8pm. Tonight I think I'm headed to anywhere but my kitchen for dinner.

On top of that Emma and Allyson are being drama queens and Mo refuses to sleep past 5:30am. I am beat. And I know Eric is too but I am still beyond annoyed that he comes home, talks to the girls for about 2 minutes, eats dinner and then heads downstairs til he is ready for bed. He's too tired from the commute. 2+ hours are on the train. What I wouldn't do for 2 hours to myself. More than 12 hours with the girls and the other kiddos for 8 hours is slowly pushing me over the edge. But on the bright side it's Thursday and the week is almost over.

I am off to shower before the troops arrive in 20 minutes.

Have a great day. :goodvibes

Sure! Did the Jiko chef change that recently? Seems like it has been longer. Don't recall hearing anything about Boma changing chefs, but that doesn't mean anything! :rotfl2:
We had an ADR for Jiko but I cancelled it. I think it fell victim to the resort hopping. I can't remember exactly why I changed it.

Robyn - Hang in there! The weekend is coming!
Have you thought any more about doing cakes as a business? I think the daycare gig has outlived it's usefulness.

Well it pegged Nicholas' age as 8, so it does go lower than 20.

Nope, see earlier post. It gave Nicholas' age as 8.

Hmmm..... well that's a bummer! I was pretty content with 20 until you had to go and prove otherwise! ;)

I'm sorry it's getting a little rough for you. It should ease up in about, oh, 25 years, give or take..... ;)

I really can't complain, honestly. Even with the reflux/colic screaming and the recent illness, they just aren't bad otherwise.... well ok, or they are kind of rough babies now (considering "otherwise" is only a small portion of the day ) and I just don't mind it!

For the most part, I still find two children much easier (that is, until they're teenagers;)) than when they were inside of me! :rotfl:

We figured it had to be 20 because Kristin is in great shape and has never gone below 20. BUT NOW WE KNOW BETTER!! :rotfl2: And I can confirm Wii Fit goes to at least 58. ;)

Brain Age I know goes at least to 72 because I have a friend who just turned 72 and she is delighted that she finally matches her Brain Age! :rotfl2:

How sweet! :)

Tell Kristin that I'm still saying that for adults, it only goes to 20! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

It appears that airfare is starting to drop. I can get a r/t flight Nov. 30-Dec.6 on Airtran from DCA with my preferred times for $208. I'm hoping for a good priced Ding though. But I will have to wait until October for that. What to do, what to do.

ETA: Nevermind. I plugged in a wrong date. Cost is nowhere near as good as I thought it was.

Bummer! I was excited for you, and excited to check on my trip! Hopefully soon... I know our gas price is taking a nose dive! :goodvibes

So handsome! Congratulations, Karen! :goodvibes

Hi guys-
I need some prayers...As I was online earlier, myb rother called and asked for mom--i knew something was wrong so i got mom and we found out Joe had been in a motorcycle accident. He was driving to the firehouse and a car swerved in his lane and was headed right towards him. He had to choose to get hit by the car or go towards to grass and dump his bike. So he went for the grass and there was a big ditch. Joe was knocked unconcious for a bit and we headed to the hospital around 1130..he is still there, my dad and I just came home for ab it and we are headed back. As of now, they think his shoulder and jaw may be broken. Im pretty much freaking out and i know how strong DDA prayer is...thanks

Absolutely, Jen. Any confirmation today? How is he feeling this morning?

Jennifer- Sounds like you and the girls had an exhausting day. I hope everyone was able to catch some ZZZ's

We did! Well, they did! Five hours x 2 again for eating, with only a handful of screaming episodes ... I hope that's here to stay, minus the fits! Otherwise, we'll have to wear ourselves out more often, and our bank account can't handle more days like yesterday! :rotfl:

 I hope your day (and week!) goes up from here!

I'm off to shower and do a few things around the house a bit while I can, before we leave. We have a "play date" at 11ish... you know, because my 6-week-olds play so well with others ;)

It will be nice to see an old friend, though, anyway! :rotfl:

Have a wonderful day!

Thank you so much guys. He just walkd in the door about 15 minutes ago. His scapula (i know i spelled that wrong) is broken for sure as well as his jaw. But both look like they were clean breaks. He will be calling the orthopedic surgeon as soon as they open.
Im sorry about my melt down post earlier, i was just going crazy. I needed to "talk" to someone while i waited. So i got a 15-20 min "nap" and just trying to help get him settled and then maybe illt ry to get some sleep.
Thanks again

We had an ADR for Jiko but I cancelled it. I think it fell victim to the resort hopping. I can't remember exactly why I changed it.

Brian Piasecki (from Le Cellier) replaced Anette Grecchi at Jiko about a year ago. He had started at there about the time Bob and I had our spectacular dinner last October. His move is one of the reasons there was/is such an uproar on the Dining Board about the menu at Le Cellier.

Chef Tjetjep Sudiswa (TJ) has been at Boma for a few years, I think. He replaced Chef Jay Smith, I think?? Not sure about that one.
