How is Joe feeling?

When I leave work today I am going to my cousins house. we are having a yard sale tomorrow and sat. getting rid of clothes and toys her 2 and my 2 plus my nephew have outgrown. So once I leave work today I wont be on till Sat. or Sunday.

I could tell

I am tired as I did not sleep well last night. Got a kink in my neck. So if I start reading my book I get sleepy. My clinical manager is on vacation so I can easily access the internet without getting caught.

oh that the Percocet works well. you can take Advil/Motrin/Ibuprofen with it. and it will work better and last longer. An ice pack on your cheek will also help. Hang in their.

it's both sides of my face so I did cold towels last night until bed time...only the one side hurts right now so I will be okay until I get home and can ice it without having to answer too many questions.

Almost time for my next dose of antibiotics

What does your contract say about 1) Time off that the employer gives you and 2) Termination where you are not at fault? ExDadboss tried to tell me I "owed" them time back when they cancelled their vacation due to a hurricane. They told me to go ahead and take 3 of the days off and work the other 2, which I did. I had plans for the other days. When I came back to work they asked me to work some additional hours for free. Um, NO WAY! Nanny is NOT to be penalized or required to make up any hours she is not needed by the employers. My contract also states they have to give at least a 2 week notice if they are terminating me without just cause. Severance pay may be given in lieu of notice. Good luck!

Thanks! The vacation dates were never formally set due to potential custody/out of state trip issues. I just think the fact that it had been mentioned twice as a possibility played into why she went ahead and gave me the week off. However, with her inconsistencies I don't want to bank on it. There would be at least some severance involved so I'd be covered there, but I'd rather not have things up in the air, though. I'll know soon enough though so it will be okay in the end, I know.

Hes really hurting.. I figured he would be, but is so hard to see him in that much pain--he rarely complains of pain. Hes awake and getting ready for the dr now..thanks for asking

Robyn- My mouth is very sore...without giving TMI...I now have stitches in part of my mouth and percocet is once again my friend. I am missing my pepsi to kickstart my day but other than that (and work woes) I am okay. Because my insurance has a $1500 yearly limit we are going to see how well I tolerate the work being spread over the next 5 months. That way I have to pay less than if we did it all this year. Plus it gives my mouth a little more time to heal.

I hope you aren't sore too long!!

Giving you the week off was her choice - stand your ground if she tries to penalize you for it. I can't imagine that you wouldn't still have a job. It sounds like she might be rather difficult to work for, though!

911 can triangulate your location as well. Remember the man that fell down the bank in front of our house and passed out? They were able to locate him through his cell phone

But I think it is more difficult and time-consuming to do it that way. And that is why we have kept our landline. We have been debating the need for long distance service lately, though. We use our cell phones all the time to call friends and family that are out of the area. I think the only time we have used our landline is when Bob forgets his cell phone works in the house now!

But it takes awhile. If it's a true emergency, do you really want to waste time while they ATTEMPT to triangulate it? It's not something that happens quickly.
