DD9, DH and I were in Target last night. She and dad have this thing about looking at clothes together. He actually puts some really cute outfits together. As we are walking around, DD comes across a mini skirt that has a little bag with a pair of leggings in them. She asked me what are those. I explained how you'd wear them, but she had a confused look on her face. DH came around a rack holding an example already sewn together. She took one look at them and got the "ugh" look on her face. She let us know that those were ugly and questioned who would wear such an ugly thing. DH turned and pointed a me. Sorry, I was a child of the 80's, it was high fashion back then. This sweet lovable little girl, turns her head back towards me, give me the eye roll
, shakes her head, grabs her dads hand and proceeds to tell him, I'm glad one of my parents has an eye for good fashion.
Hello child...were we just not back in the shoe department picking out the cuties pairs of shoes. And who do you think got you the flirty little skirt you are wearing. I don't dress you like a dork, that would be your grandma. Needless to say, it was mom who found "the cutiest shirt" and my eye for good fashion was restored.
I'm just waiting for the day when she gets into the teen fashion crazy. And what is in and dad's good eye conflict. I can hear him now....she wants to wear what?!?!?!?
