Dw :earsgirl: and I  are taking dd17 pirate: to WDW for a trip for her birthday. Any ideas about what we can do to make the trip or the day special for her? Any ideas about how to make her siblings - dd15 princess: and ds14 :clown: less jealous? (Yes, they will be on the trip!)

TIA!

What sort of things does she enjoy? High Tea at the Grand Floridian, Cirque du Soleil, park hopping to catch all the thrill rides? An IllumiNations or Wishes Cruise would be special, as would a special dinner at one of the finer restaurants. Pick up a Birthday Badge for her at Guest Services (or City Hall at Magic Kingdom) for something personal; the other suggestions would be special for the whole family, in her honor.

You can rent a Wishes or Illuminations Specialty Cruise w/a celebration theme. They are decorated for special occasions. They depart from various resorts around 9:30 and then stop either in front of the MK or by Epcot to view the fireworks. Then after the fireworks you get dropped back off by the resort you started from. But that can be pricey and don't know if you want to spend that kind of $$ (I believe it's $250). They will be opening the Bibbiddi Bobbidi Boutique princess: in DTD on April 5 (don't know when you'll be there) where the girls can have their hair, makeup and nails done. What girl doesn't like that? :confused3 Or you could plan a character meal and let your server know that it's your daughter's birthday and the characters can come over for a special celebration. party:

My daughter celebrated her 17th birthday in November at WDW. We did tea at the GF for lunch and had the 9:30 dinner seating at Hoop-De-Doo. At the GF they gave her a little birthday crown and a cupcake. At the Hoop-De-Doo, they singled her out and sang to her. She had a great time. Her sister wasn't jealous at all, because she has had her birthday at WDW on more occasions. Perhaps if you include your other kids in on the birthday planning, you can avoid any potential pitfalls.
