DD13 took a class today for yearbook class

from MY photography teacher from high school!!! She showed me the notes she took, and at the very top of the page she'd written his name, telephone, and email! How cool is that??!!

She emailed him to tell him that I'd been a student of his. I hope he writes back! He was my favorite teacher ever!

How cool is that! I find it even cooler that you guys have yearbook class and photography teachers!! Closest I got was being sent to Yearbook summer camp by my high school. (how geeky was I anyway????)

My photography classes in high school were great, especially the first year. We had two fantastic dark rooms with 3 enlargers in each. Not so great the 2nd year. They moved the class to the basement of the cafeteria, and the dark room was a janitor's closet with two enlargers. The door opened directly into the hallway, and there was no light to indicate someone was using the room, so if the door was opened your prints were toast. Wasn't the teacher's fault, though. They needed the original classroom for an academic course.

I thought it was pretty awesome that DD's middle school made this workshop available to them. Also kind of interesting... she asked to take my camera with her, though she didn't know if she would need it or not. They saw she had a camera, so they sent her to a different section of the workshop than her other classmates that went!

Yearbook camp sounds like a blast! I guess I'm a geek, too!
