Nothing to add everyone else pretty much covered the how to. But you might want to try Shari or Sherri's Berries. I've never had them but I have a friend who is a realtor and she raves about them and give them to her clients all the time. Very reasonably priced too.![]()
Yes, they are yummy (and funny, our realtor sent us some too), but reasonably priced? Not in my opinion, lol. Just went and looked: a dozen strawberries for $35. Plus their "standard" shipping starts at $13, so total $48. That would make it $4.00 per strawberry.
Strawberries I bought this week were $4 for a 2 pound container and yielded me over 2 dozen good sized strawberries.....I buy chocolate at a speciality store for $10 a pound...so for less than $20 I can make a couple dozen beauties. And really, the time it takes to make them, even the first time learning curve, is not $50 of my time! For a long distance gift...yeah, because I can't imagine mine surviving the post office, lol...but for a birthday party or treat for the family, making your own is really much easier than you think!
