DD Parking Question

Hi All,

We are staying one night in the Anaheim area prior to checking into the GCH. I have a ressie at Best Western, but I am pretty sure I can get a ressie at a nicer hotel for much less using Priceline.

If I wind up in an Anaheim hotel, Will it be difficult to go to DD that evening? What is the parking situation? Is it a far walk to Ralph Brennans?

Also, the next morning, Is it difficult to get around Anaheim? (Traffic?) We would be going directly to the GCH to check in before park opening.

If it is a big inconvenience, I'll just stay put at BW.

Thanks :)

Parking at DTD is easy and you have a 3 hour time frame where it's free. I think even longer if you validate it with dinner!! Ralph Brennans is REALLY close to where you come into DTD from parking so that will be fine.

Getting around Anaheim is simple, I don't think you'll be that far where you even need a freeway in the morning! But the BW right by the parks is not bad at all!!

Thanks for your reponse.

Is parking in the same garage for the theme parks as for DD? I saw a few posts discussing that it takes thirty minutes to get from the garage to the gates! Is that true?

We are travelling with my 71 year old mother so I just want to be sure it is not that long of a walk for her.

No, DTD parking is closer than garage parking!! Let me see if I can find the map for you!!

Where is the entrance for parking at DD? (Street name/Intersection)

Are there signs with the Mickey ears to lead the way? I love to see those signs!:)

If you are staying on Harbor Blvd by the park you can go to Ball Rd and make a left. It is the second light and you will see the signs that say Dowtown Disney, Parks and Hotels. Stay in the lane that says Downtown Disney. Make sure you don't get into the lane to turn at the first light because you will have to turn into some other Disney building. Ball Rd is right past the I-5 freeway.

3 hours free parking for DTD plus 2 more hours free with dining validation.

Here's an aerial that shows the DLR w/labels so you can see where the parking areas are in relation to the parks, Downtown Disney, and the hotels.

We have this and other maps & aerials in the sticky thread at the top.
