DD lost her autograph book, what are the chances of getting it back?

Do you know who owns your old house now? Or maybe an old neighbor that would know who lives at your old address. They could check to see if it is delivered to the address.

The same thing happened to my daughter, we were in M.K. and realized after we got off of Buzz Lightyears that is was missing. We knew if had fell out of our backpack. She was the same as your daughter, collecting them since she was 5 so she was very upset. We went to the lost and found and they called the ride and believe it or not it was there! The CM at the ride left us enter through the exit to pick it up. We were so glad someone found it and gave it to the CM. Don't give up hope!

Just wanted you all to know, my DD's autograph book came in the mail today!!!!!!princess: :hyper: Thank you all for your suggestions and offers. I'm amazed it got back to us. Our old address was in the book (I now have our new address in it). They sent it to our old address, but that was crossed out and our new address was put on, but they put a different street name on it.

I'm just happy it was returned.

Thanks again!:teeth:

Cindy

Yea! :bounce: So glad it found its way home, Cindy! I bet your DD was thrilled! Thanks for keeping us up to date.

That is great. I am so glad to hear that you got it back and that all the suggestions worked.

I was saying a little prayer that it would.
:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

The postmaster sounds like he was similar to my mom. You don't find many that are willing to go out of their way to help someone like he did.

and it was mailed back to us. Luckily, we knew where he left it (Mickey's house), so I called the lost and found and let them know, describing what was in it (I think he did put his name and address in it). Anyway, they mailed it to us!

My daughters and their friends have lost so many things over the years (camera, several autograph books, cellphone, and a Disney merchandise bag with ticket & money in it). The lost stuff has been turned in every single time.

One time my daughter lost her camera. The only identification it has on it was a sticker of the Pepperidge Farm Goldfish. We called lost and found. The found it and mailed it to our home.

I am so glad that you daughter got her autograph book back. Just a suggestion to everybody, alway have you name & address on your autograph books, cameras ect. I found that all thost mailing address labels that we get in the mail come in handy for just this chore.

When we were at Animal Kingdom in June 2003 my DD left her fanny pack in one of the bathrooms. It contained her autograph book, a laynard with about 10 disney pins on it and some change. When she bought the autograph book the CM selling it to her told her to put her name in the front in case she lost it. About 5 days after we returned home she received a package in the mail. Inside it was her fanny pack and all of its contents. It is things like this that make Disney very special to me and will keep me going back. If some one found the book and turned it in I'm sure you will get it back.

You can add my niece to the group of kids who have lost their autograph book and had it mailed back to them. When she realized she'd lost it, my sister thought it might derail the entire trip (after all, her brother with whom she is very competitive about autographs still had HIS). She bought her another one which she worked to fill up. The lost and found folks said if it had the name and address in it and made it to Lost and Found it would be mailed back.

My sister still thought it was doubtful.

But it came!

Now she has two autographs, and the brother is jealous!
