Call was scheduled for 2:45. DD came home from school (campus is just down the street) to use the land line instead of her cell phone. She has a killer head cold so she took a nap, with strict instructions to wake her at 2:30. Well, the PHONE woke her at 2:30; Disney called early! It was just as well- no time to be nervous! DD said the call went well- I was getting worried as it took 31 minutes, but I could hear her chatting and laughing throughout. She said they asked her some general questions (living in the dorm, why she wants to do the CP, 3 good/negative qualities about herself) and a few questions about each of her top 3 job choices- character performer, character attendant, and FSFB. I can't remember all the questions they asked her, but she said there wasn't a single question that hadn't been covered here, and to thank everyone on the DISboards for sharing their experiences so she could be so well prepared! The interviewer told her about character auditions and twice encouraged her to come down to FL and audition (which we already have planned!). DD was told that she is being considered for all her top and moderate choice jobs, and asked about some of those, too (photopass, front park ops, costuming, recreation). The interviewer said she'd hear via her dashboard within 3-5 weeks, and not to be worried if it says "in progress," because she (interviewer) didn't know if they'd assign her a role and wait for audition results, or "pend" her application until audition results are decided and then offer her a role.
DD felt the interview went REALLY well. She said the best tips were to do the research first so you know what to expect. During the interview, be comfortable, relax, smile, and be yourself. Thanks again to everyone who posted their WBI and phone interview experiences- you really helped my DD to "have a Disney Day!"
