they arrived at 5.30 and after copious amounts of pizza chips and coke ( sorry jamie oliver   ) we had lots of dancin dvds and make-up and they have gone upstairs to watch a video
i must have been mad to agree to this :confused3

From a 'been there done that' and SURVIVED mum of 21 year old Elisa and Hannah, 18 on Tuesday. Sorry, did I say survived? Well yes but they just find something else to throw at you!! 1st hangover, giggly calls on the mobile telling you how great life at Uni is, diets, boyfriends, how can I survive on my student loan, what can I wear, oh forgot to do my singing practice today, is it Ok to do it now, it's only 11.30!!! And yet you just get more and more proud of them!!! princess: princess: :cloud9:

well, they stayed awake till about 12.30 ish and then they were up at 6.30 !! i am not used to that both mine sleep through from 7pm-7am !! on a plus point they were very well behaved and we had no arguments :goodvibes

It was my eldest DD's 16th birthday party last night. We hired the local village hall and had a disco for about 30 of her mates! We got home about 11:15pm (after taking 45 minutes to clear up the mess in the hall!!).

6 of her friends slept over on our lounge floor (boys and girls!!) and my youngest DD had one of her friends sleep over as well!

I think it was about 6am that they actually all got to sleep :earseek:

They are just starting to imerge now! Talk about the night of the living dead LOL

:) Hi Natalie,

Sounds like the kids had a great time :)

Now Tim, your kids sound a little bit more like mine!!! :rotfl: If i could have got my bunch of teens to sleep at all then that would have been nothing short of a miracle! :rolleyes1

Oh my!!! You are all very brave. I must face up to the fact that my two will be wanting to do this soon

I think I can remember how noisy and late I used to be with my friends when we had sleepovers - that's probably why I'm dreading it ;)

Same here we have chelsea's cousin Charlie here, and we got them Incredibles and plenty toffees, and they went to bed, only to still be watching vids, at 3am this morning, Well Charlie was,DD was snoring..... :rotfl: I wondered what was going on at first on my nightly trip to the toilet, and I could hear stuart little thought I was going alittle  for a moment!

They rose at 11am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The girls sound as though they have had a great time, my two DD's (now 14 & 12) have a sleepover at least once a month now (with 2 or 3 friends), they all go to a youth club on a Friday night till 9pm and then they all crash in the back room with sleeping bags, face packs and watch DVD's all night, the rules are they can stay awake all night as long as we can't hear them. Then they're up about 10am and off into Nuneaton shopping, I then pick them up and drop their friends home. It's a great way to get to know their friends and to give them a bit of freedom.

mandymouse :earsgirl:

well it was a great succsess (sp ??) the girls had a great time and it is a great way to get to know them better
i would do it again :sunny:
