dd having surgery in the morning update pg 2

well she did come through the surgery great! I loved the "loopy" part of her personality (you know that unconscience part of your personality that comes out while medicated?) She is safely in her own bed with an ice pack and a popsicle in hand. Thanks for all the good wishes, I was fine until they wheeled her away, the hospital she was at was the one her brother spent his last days in so the staff was familiar and that made it hard yet comforting (if that makes sense).
On a side note while waiting for her to come out of surgery I was reading the paper and saw the obituary for a guy I dated in high school, he had never married (surprizing as he was quite the hottie in school) and had never left our little town. Gosh I had such a crush on him in school. So sad.

I'm glad she did well. My ds also loved to use lots of ice packs at home for his throat. I hope she's feeling ok today.

LOL! When my dd was 3 she had to have surgery. They told me I'd get to see her "drunk" as the meds started kicking in before she had to go to surgery. I thought "yeah right. " She was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY past loopy. It cracked me up.
