My little sweetie has been fighting strep almost nonstop since Feb. her doctor finally said enough and so in the morning she will be getting her tonsils out. I guess the thinking is that the strep is "hiding" in the tonsils and hopefully this will take care of it. Poor little gal, I think mommy here is more concerned than she is . She has been at Vacation Bible School all week and has to miss the last day (and farewell program) but tonight before she went to bed she said "I sure could use some of that peace they were talking about today....wait mommy its going to be okay cause I'm not suppose to worry cause Jesus is in charge". LOL...at least she listens to her lessons!!~!

Hoping for some Pixie Dust tommorrow!!!

She will feel much better. No biggie. I should have had mine out when I was much younger. If she has any problems following post-sx instructions, tell her that she might have to have surgery again like I did.

She'll be fine Mom!

I should have had mine out many, many years ago. As a child it was Tonsillitus, Strep and even Quincy once. (Abcessed Tonsils) but I am now too old to have them out safely. They seem to have settled down in recent years but whenever a Dr looks down my throat they are shocked at the size of those swollen babies!

This time tomorrow it will be all over and she'll be on the road to mend!

i'm sure it will be fine. here's to a speedy recovery. :)

Oh, so sorry your little one has to go through this!
But isn't it amazing a child's faith!...Sending good thoughts your way that all turns out well and and she recovers quickly!

I had mine out at 18....... best thing we ever did! I too suffered from chronic strep and after removing my tonsils I have had it ONCE (I'm 35 now). My tonsils were basically "dead" according to the surgeon, "The most diseased" he had ever taken out.

Pixie dust to your DD!

She'll be fine! My youngest DS had his out at the beginning of the year and it was the best thing we could have done!
Lots of PD heading her way! {{hugs}}

I wish a speedy recovery for her and lots of popscicles. :)

Awww...she'll do fine. Hopefully, this will take care of the strep throat problem.

Good wishes for your little one, mom. Always concern when our little ones are hurting. She'll do fine, I recall have mine out many moons ago. Get that ice cream ready. :) {{Hugs}}

Sending tons of PD to your DD. I hope she has a speedy recovery full of ice cream :)

{{hugs}} She'll be ok.:) My ds had his tonsils taken out last year (he was 5 yo at the time). He went through tons of popsicles.:)

Oh! Best wishes! And she is right about the Big Guy - He is in charge and He loves the children!

I had mine out when I was 7, all I remember is eating lots of ice cream afterwards.

Hope she has a speedy recovery!!

Wishing her a quick recovery. You'll be surprised by how quickly kids rebound. Best wishes.

Prayers for your DD. I'm sure evrything will be fine. DD had her tonsils removed when she was 7. Stock up on the ice cream. :D

Prayers and PD headed your way!

I remember wanting to have mine out so I could have all the ice cream I wanted. Ice Cream was a no-no in our milk-allergy family!

:D

How is your daughter? Did the surgery go well and is she home again?
