DD having a CT Scan today

Wish us luck. They ordered it with contrast so she has to drink barium AND get an IV. She hates needles worse than I do. We could also use some good thoughts that all will be normal. Thanks.

She should have to drink Gastrografin, not barium. It's not as thick as the barium but tastes just as nasty.

Good Luck! I had to have a CT Scan for the first time in Jan. The barium is nasty, it looks and tastes like paste.

I also had the IV and when it was done the tech said to me, "Did you feel like you peed yourself a few minutes after I put the IV in? I told him yes and of course it waits to tell me after the fact that it it totally normally. It would have helped if he told me that beforehand so I didn't all of a sudden think I actaully peed myself.
