Came back from her Trick or Treating with a large bag full of sweets.
Being the caring parent I am, I took most of the sweets to protect my DDs teeth :)

You did the right thing Tim ;)

I hope I will be as caring and considerate when BabyUK eventually goes out Trick or Treating :teeth:

What a lovely photo and congratulations on your selfless act wrt the sweets! :teeth:

Awww she looks lovely, in a few years its not going be sweets you are going be worrying about! :rotfl:

Very nice photo Tim ~ Well done on being a caring considerate parent.

Here's a pic I took of my DD Caitline and two of her friends just before they went out this evening to Trick Or Treat. Caitline is on the right with Ellie (left) and Megan completing the terrible trio!!

Believe me, competition for the goodies was fierce this year but they all did very well for a group of 5-year-olds!! Well done girls!!

great pics :Pinkbounc we had a great time trick or treating and people round here were very generous with the sweeties :)

Thanks for posting the great pics! the children look fabulous & very excited! :sunny:
We live in the village center so were busy with 93 trick or treaters this year.
As Washington is a rural town, 93 is a huge number.
Is trick or treat, in the UK, mostly done by younger children? Here it is unusual to see kids over 14 going door to door, unless they are escorting younger siblings.

I would say in our area Trick or Treat is mainly done by younger children and the older kids only accompany them as escorts. :)

You do however get the odd bunch of teenagers who are bored with nothing else to do knocking on your door, dressed up with their school tie around their head or some similar weak effort at a costume. These are generally the kids that give all the naysayers something to moan about and then spoil it for the little ones :(

I agree, we had some little ones trick or treating and they all looked fabulous. Then at about 8pm 2 teenagers knocked with their hoodies pulled up over their heads and that was their total effort.

What I object to more though are the teenagers carol singing. We had several round last year and they only sing the first line of "We wish you a merry Christmas" - call me a Scrooge but I don't give money to them. Again, the little ones will sing "Away in a Manger" or "Silent Night" etc and it's lovely to listen to them. Only a couple of weeks or so now and they'll start coming round!

aww! so cute! and very selfless of you... just be careful eating all that candy yourself... i think i have a sugar hang-over today

Tim,
