DD doesn't want me doing to Disney!!

Coming from a grown woman that did have one of those "hands-on" kind of dads and would have done just this kind of thing.... your daughter is so fortunate, it does great things for your self esteem as a young woman.

As far as the bathroom thing goes, when my DS7 decided he was too big for the ladies restroom with mom, I had no problem waiting for the mens room to clear, letting him go in, keeping my foot in the door and talking to my DS the whole time. I'm sure I looked like a complete idiot, but whatcha gonna do when they are looking for a little indepence :confused3

I would go and just let them do whatever they wanted when they wanted. I take one of my kids all the time when we are there and just go off by ourselves and beleive me by mid day they wanted their daddy to meet up with us.
How does your DH feel about all of this. Maybe he can explain to her, they will still have fun even though mommy is there.:rotfl: {just kidding}

Coming from a dad, I think the time together would be special.

But on the other side of the coin, maybe you can go to the rent board and get some points cheap and have a mom only trip.

Stay at another resort and pamper yourself. If something comes up you are right there.

JMHO.

Well, they are there right now and having a great time. The coolest thing is, I have been watching their Photopass and looking at their new pictures a couple times a day as it gets updated.

One thing I can see is Daddy doesn't do a great job brushing hair! LOL!

That is great to hear, Let us know all about it when they get home.

Glad to see everything is going great. My DD also adored her daddy. He always made a point to do things with her from time to time on a special basis. You can see now that she's a young woman what a good thing that was for her. She's very particular about young men and has a great sense of who she is (and still adores her daddy ;) ).

:rotfl: Poor daddy! How fun to keep an "eye" on them! You are an awesoem mommy!

What would you think about going along for the trip and letting the two of them spend an entire day together? Maybe you could do something for yourself, like a spa day and just meet them for dinner. Then maybe your DD won't feel like she doesnt have special quality time with DH.

This is exactly what I would recommend. :)

Thanks all! They are home and the whole weekend went flawlessly....well except one thing. ;)

DH withheld this from me until they got home. When they first got there, they were at MGM at Toy Story Pizza Planet and dd got hit in the face pretty hard with a Skee Ball! He had to take her to First Aid for an ice pack (they were awesome BTW). It was an ugly hour there he said, but she was fine. Funny how I had talked to them TWICE while there at MGM and he forgot to mention this! :rotfl2: I never get excited about this kind of stuff, so not sure why he didn't tell me.

Before we left, we made up an itinarary for them and he followed it to a tee and it all worked out great. They got to do everything they wanted and then some.

The arrived, got on ME, got to the Boardwalk and checked in about 10:30, then headed to MGM. They did a few things there, watched High School Musical, then went to lunch at 50s Prime Time at 1:00. After that they headed back to the Boardwalk around 3. This is where they had their only bad time. They waited in line at the front desk for 30 minutes to find out their room still wasn't ready. They waited around another half hour in the lobby, until magically at 4:00 sharp it was done. Since they had a 6:30am flight, they were just exhausted and DH's ears still hadn't popped, so they were miserable waiting. They did get in the room (Studio 1014) finally and then headed to the pool after a little rest. DD went down the slide for an hour and half, says it is her favorite pool, even over Beach Club! Then they headed over to Epcot for the rest of the evening...missing dinner! They rode Mission:Space several times and when they got off the last time, it was after 9. They ended up getting TV Dinners at Screen Door and microwaving them in the room! They tried the Pizza window, but the line was so long and wasn't moving at all, so they gave up, they were so tired.

Then on Sunday they got up, grabbed some snacks for breakfast at the Bakery and then hit Magic Kingdom at 9:30 and DH said the place was dead. They went on Buzz three times, Astro Orbitors twice, Indy Speedway, then everything else they wanted to go on by lunch time, even Hall of Presidents for the 11:30 show! Had lunch at Pecos Bills, hit Adventureland, then back to the hotel. There they rented a Surrey bike, which they loved. Then back to Epcot until closing once again. DD did Test Track for the first time and says it is her favorite ride now! Couldnt pay her to go on it before, but he got her to go and she loved it. He said they pretty much walked onto all the rides in FutureWorld all night. They had dinner at Coral Reef, hit the rides on that side, then watched Illuminations before bed.

Monday they slept in until 9, got ready to leave. Hit the Bakery for Breakfast to use up the 2 counter service they had left over. Got checked in for their flight home..we forgot to do it the day before, but it worked out fine. They got B line for SW, but there were plenty of seats. Their flight went great coming home and I pulled up in the van the very second they walked out of the terminal! He was about to call me when he saw me pulling up.

They were so happy to share the video and pictures with us, and I don't regret for one second not going. The things I stayed home for had meaning and ended up going great, and they had a much better time without me there. So, great memories for them! We are now planning to do this every year, with the girls taking turns when dd3 is old enough...in two years probably. Oh and dd3 didn't seem to really seem to care. She knew they went to Disney and wasn't upset at all....which she does at other times, so she does have some understanding. Like dd6 and I can't get our nails done without her little heart being broken that we didn't take her. Not sure we will get away with it so easily next year.

Oh yeah, the bathroom issue. DH said they used the companion one as much as possible of course, but when there wasn't one this is what they did. They each went in alone and he told her she had to stand in the doorway when she was done, if he wasn't out yet.......which he was every single time. So, he watched her go in, he went in to the mens, then he would be waiting right outside when she came out. He said many times he didn't even have to go when she went, so he would just wait while she went in. But when he did, that is how they handled it.

i'm soooo glad that they had a good time!!!! i'm also very very jealous!!! may your daughter always be a princess in her daddy's eyes!!!princess:
